So, it's a big game on Sunday. The manager hinted at his presser Yesterday that he may have to rotate a few player as they're struggling with fatigue. Having said that I expect it to be largely the same side that started vs Wolfsburg. With Carrick in for Schweinsteiger for the reasons stated above.
I really fancy us for this game anyway, as I always do vs Arsenal. They're a good attacking side but are still weak physically and mentally for me as they proved at home to Olympiakos in midweek.

I fancy our attack over theirs, I fancy our defence over theirs. That means we win by a narrow margin.
Although they might want to give a bit of backlash , so probably a draw.

These are possibly the 2 most pathetic predictions I've ever seen and that's saying alot.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a big game. I have been critical of United all season, questioning whether they are good enough. They have been playing well, nicking results here and there. If they win this game you've got to put them down as big players in the title race. Victory at the Emirates would make them second or even joint-favourites in my opinion. United haven't been incredible but they haven't done anything wrong.
Arsenal have to win this game otherwise Arsene Wenger will be under severe pressure. The game will probably go how it does all the time. Arsenal will turn up, dominate the game and United will break on them and score. Despite that, I'm going to go for an Arsenal win because they simply have to.
PAUL PREDICTS: 2-1
Manchester United are top of the league and lots of things are working well for Louis van Gaal at the moment. Their midfield is very good at shielding their defence and their combination at centre-back of a skilful player in Daley Blind and an out-and-out stopper in Chris Smalling is working well.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger comes into this game on the back of making a big mistake by playing David Ospina in goal against Olympiakos instead of Petr Cech.
Wenger will come in for some serious stick if his side lose this game too, but I have a funny feeling that Arsenal will end up winning on Sunday - it would be typical of the Gunners if they do.
Lawro's prediction: 2-0
So the pair of them think Arsenal will win because 1) they have to and 2) they have a funny feeling. Forgive me for thinking expert pundits were supposed to offer more footballing insight than that. It's an absolute joke that either of them are in a job.

I think we stand a chance if we continue the same team play we showed on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League game. For me, the team has actually being putting up the best performance so far.

Typical of the Gooners? Martial will leave Mertesacker for dust. We are in good form results wise, the performances are picking up as well, won't be easy but we'll win nevertheless

Not sure on the injuries, we'll know more after the presser.
Valencia was all over the shop against Wolfsburg, he also laid it on a plate for Welbeck last season and he offers naff all going forward so I'd rather have Young tbh.

Another LVG gem .................
"Arsenal are technically and tactically the best team in the league. Nevertheless, they haven't won so much, so you have to look for that improvement with that team."

The press conference was yesterday, Carrick is back.
That was pretty much all van Gaal said about the ones who missed midweek, but did say there are no new injuries. Everyone has the day off today to recover apparently.

This is one I don't think we'll win. Not because I think that we're not good enough because I do but because I think fatigue will play its part. If we play a slower possession game then our quality may get us over the line but if we start like we did against Wolfsburg then Arsenil could well pick us off later in the game. Be the perfect game to bring in Young, Carrick and Herrera to at least try and freshen things up. My heart says 1-2 but my head says 2-1
