not like welbeck can't play out wide. but even with McNair and smalling at CB (not that great of a backline, mainly because of smalling) we shouldn't exactly be threatened that much by arsenal lets be honest

It's how it goes - one red card and he's as good as dead. I can't believe we put up with Vidic for so long...
Anyway, I'm curious to see how McNair will handle the pressure, weirdly enough I think he's been our most consistent CB in terms of performances.

I'm very interested to see whether or not Welbeck starts the game. Is he fit? Other than that, I would be surprised to see Blackett partnering Smalling as he is a left sided defender. I think there are goals in us though, and I would even be tempted to drop Rooney in at no.9 and have Mata playing behind - of course, that won't be happening with van Persie's conversion rate.

Rumours are saying Welbeck is injured, but I expect him to play though.
