Who should we put on Sanchez? Allround we have enough going forward to win, but Sanchez is playing well and will need to be marked. Should it be Fellaini?

DDG Valencia- Smalling -- McNair -- Shaw Fletcher Herrera - Di Maria Rooney van Persie -- Falcao editedCarrick will definitely not be fit for this one - so suggesting Fletcher Rafael still booked out with muscular injury ? - So Valencia in DDG - surely for a little finger they will have an adequate (iron man) finger protection possible under his glove ??? Like Rooney's bonce protection last year - let's innovate lol I think Fellaini may be a serious red card risk in this one - I don't think he's quick enough and will end up fouling - shouldering - etc Still think we can win it but we will have to be more clinical in front of goal and score more than we leak Prediction 2 - 3

I thought McNair was injured, had a knock or something. I think you're right Marc & Doc - could be due to new management, if LVG requires a 100% fit (I even think one of the players said something like that in an interview) or the medical staff is extra extra extra cautious. But a 80% fit player is still better than players being played out of positions and having to come up with strange formations. Not that Valencia did a bad job at RB or Carrick in CB, but I'd still rather have someone else.

Rafael said he was back in training on his instagram last week, so I think he's got a decent chance.
If Carrick isn't fit then I certainly wouldn't be start Fletcher. I wouldn't go with the diamond in that case, I'd even give Anderson a run before Fletcher.

De Gea 80% ready apparently.. Wondering why we haven't signed up Valdes or isn't he fit either.

Do you think we'll risk De Gea? Been playing it safe with injuries this season.

I'd have thought he'd be able to play if they just strap his little and ring fingers together and get a specially made glove.
It shouldn't hinder him too much, I read he was still on the bench for Spain as well so it can't be too bad.
