Let's just get this started now, because there's no point in going over and over what we could have/should have done against Newcastle. This is the game I think everyone is looking forward to, no matter the position and form of the teams. Not knowing who's injured and who's not at the moment, but I'll have to assume Bastian and Jones won't be fit for that one. One thing that definitely needs to change is Fellaini, otherwise I'd keep Lingard and Martial on the flanks with Rooney forward and hopefully he can replicate his great form from the last game.

We simply have to beat Liverpool, form and league position go out the window for this one. We've beaten them already and have to do it again if only for the bragging rights. I always said it that our goal at the start of every season is to do better than them, for me anyway, God I hate them and more so their fans so much, it's actually disturbing. Their team is depleted especially in defence and their strikers are no great shakes even when fit, no excuses on Sunday, we have to be beating them.

Liverpool have been very good against big teams since Klopp came in. Very much like ourselves last season it's against lesser opposition they're faltering. I think it will be a very open and free flowing attacking game. Genuinely think we could see another 3-3 or 3-2 either way. Hopefully I'm wrong and we completely outplay them like we have done the last 3 times we've met.
In terms of the team, I'd keep it the same besides no Fellaini. If Basti is fit it's a straight swap for him. If he's not I'd drop Herrera back there and start Lingard at 10 with Memphis on the left. Memphis has looked a lot hungrier in his last couple of sub appearances. May be worth another shot in the starting lineup. Lingard's best position is debatably at 10 anyway. The way he's constantly on the move and seems to find space effortlessly could be a real asset if deployed at 10. His link up play was also very good Yesterday.

wow this is not the time to be playing them
in saying that, since this is the derby, we lose, LVG has to go surely

We should be beating these, their side is average to say the least and we've already done them once this season. I've watched their last 4 or 5 games and they've been dogshit.
Beating Chelsea is no great feat this season but they were good against City though inept defending helped them on their way, I think tonight will be a better judgement against a top and in form Arsenal side.
As for us, despite our poor performances all season bar the Arsenal game we've turned up against the better sides and got results so I'd expect us to turn up, team wise just get Fellaini out of it and anyone else in, Basti or Carrick should be fit anyway.

Liverpool under Klopp are a changed team. Klopp has them believing again, he is charismatic, stern but friendly and is on the sideline revving them up. What we have is LVG who should have a Lazy Boy Recliner in the Dugout, Ryan Giggs ( just look at his eyes ) wondering what the sentence for murder by provocation could be.
I will need to ponder my Tip for this one.

Why can't we be like Real Madrid. They thought Benitez was shit (which he is) and they sacked him without further ado. We have to be decisive. 4th place is slipping ayay very fast, and if we draw or lose against Liverpool, then we are really screwed.

Real Madrid treat their managers apallingly. They're hardly an example to be followed.

Madrid have the players to do what they want, they could put Humpty Dumpty in charge and still win, or be there or thereabouts. It's a Mickey Mouse club run by Mickey Mouse.
VG got us into top 4 last season and you've got absolutely NO guarantee that changing manager at this stage will guarantee you a top 4 slot this season. You're literally flipping a coin in the air getting rid of him at this stage.

We were never a sacking club (albeit Frank O'Farrell),and are not now, why buy into that culture? Why start now? I said at the time that poor ol'Moyes was the wrong choice at the time and that the club was too big for him and he had to go, but LVG is an experienced old-school manager who I still believe knows what he is doing. The performances and results aren't what we expected, but excuses can be made daily about underperforming players that are getting accustomed to this league and people are forgetting that this is also new to LVG and the biggest challenge of his career. He took the job for that reason and needs time to adapt also I think to this crazy league where anyone can beat anyone with no truly dominant sides like the leagues he has managed in before. We are rebuilding and Rome wasn't built in a day.

I do not deny that LVG has pedigree, I would be stupid to think otherwise, yet we have to know that something is not right. He was given more money to spend than all other premier league managers, and he bought who he thought was good for the team, and he got rid of many others. What's the verdict after two years? A big fat zero. He has a lower win percentage than poor David Moyes. Do you consider that satisfactory? His game plan is "no lose" then "try to win". Is this the MU way? Mourinho has pedigree as well and was sacked by Chelsea although he won the premiership last season. Why? is he a bad manager now? I don't think so. It's because he wasn't in sync with the players. This is the same problem we have... No matter what you read, see or hear, the players are not playing their game. That's why I believe LVG must go. Maybe, a big maybe, with another manager, things can be turned around.

I like Giggs but I don't think he is ready yet. Mourinho will do the job and will attract players, but his disloyalty to Academy players makes him one for the short term. I believe that he will give us a better chance of a top four finish.
In reality, the best option is to convince Alex Ferguson to act as interim manager till the end of the season, then get Guardiola. Wishful thinking!
