Currently watching the game at Anfield... Worrying thought! If they play this way against us next Sunday, we will be screwed.

The only way you'd get Fergie anywhere near the front line again is with Giggs being the face of it - and VG would have to walk away. And as it stands, I don't think any of that is likely.

SAF acting as interim manager or second fiddle to Giggs?

In any managing capacity.

Ferguson being second in charge to anyone? It would be Giggs manager and Fergie in 'assessor' role overseeing Giggs management temporarily. It's like an Enterprise Architect dropping in on senior management and assessing what they do / how they perform / holding hands and making sure the structural integrity of an organisation is maintained properly. So forget the idea of a number 2 sat in the dug out.

I don't think so. Ferguson enjoyed managing and every part of it, so I don't think he'll be satisfied with anything but the lead role and I honestly think he's enjoying retirement way too much for anything to change his mind. Also this is not his United anymore.
He didn't come back to step in after Moyes and he won't do it again.

He's already offered to do it if push came to shove, but I don't think we're anywhere near push or shove.

Local journos know it from the inside and let it slip when all that 'LvG sacked' blew up the other week. It's a 'B' or 'C' plan, but they're (board) desperately looking at it because they want long term stability. They don't see it in Mourinho, and Pep not much better. But Pep is still the Glazer 'A' plan by all accounts.

The only article I could find comes from Daily Star...it sits right between the transfer rumours of Gaitan and Messi

Can we beat City for his signature? That's the million dollar question and you won't know that till Summer. Pep's desperately trying to shut all the conversation down by denying he's even coming to England  According to them in Spain he's got a preference for us but City have been pursuing for a while.

The only article I could find comes from Daily Star...it sits right between the transfer rumours of Gaitan and Mess It was on one of GMR's (BBC) football phone-in shows but it's been elsewhere local, they're usually pretty good for picking up noises at board level and getting an 'off-the-record', I dare say some of the nationals picked it up.
