chances are he is not really focused on lyon as he was expecting a move in the summer
Lacazette would be a fantastic signing though

6 in 15 isn't bad either. Better than anything our guys are mustering up. Then you look at his last 2 seasons where he's scored a hat full, including 31 in all competitions last season. I'm also assuming that due to current circumstances he may be cheaper now than he would've been in the summer, although just for it being in January they could bump the price up.

he'd still be 25 million given its january and past form, also he is still young
only issue, isn't he only 5'9, now thats fine if you're falcao but that means for set pieces we have no one outside our defenders really to contest (we do need to play it along the ground more anyway, so maybe this move forces that)

Has been a bit prone to injury.
Good player, but until he proves his fitness, we better look elsewhere.

only issue, isn't he only 5'9 Aguero's height isn't an issue, is it?

out : fellaini, carrick, valencia, young, valdes in : cavani, lucas moura, wanyama, carvalho(sporting lisbon),stones, pjanic, laporte, hummels, bale, sissoko(newcastle) putt daley blind in his natural position MDF we need to bring our FEAR FACTOR by risking more,LB or RB more up and possesion, making our wingers more close to forwards and giving space to LB or RB to go up

Not sure why we need sissoko wanyama and carvalho together in a team that already have schneiderlin and basti.

Sounds more of a move for the summer, will be extremely difficult in Jan.
Stones has grown on me and given the development of Smalling I think we'd be able to manage him in the back line. I do like him but he is a little overrated by the media and the like which is what irks me, they just seem to gloss over his errors and weaknesses as he's by no means the finished article. For the right price I wouldn't be against it all though but people have to realise that he is young and he will make mistakes.
Smalling and Stones though would set us up to years for come, although Blind has done well, Stones is more suited as a centre back and is quicker across the ground. On the ball is really where he excels although can overplay at times so the ideal partner for Smalling.
The question is whether LVG would be happy with two right footers and they both play on the right side currently, there's also Jones to think about who could get over his injuries like Smalling as I still think Jones can be top quality.
There a sure to be a few clubs after him, given Chelsea's situation we may have the edge if indeed we make a move.

why stones? out of all our issues, defense isn't one of them, yes he's a good defender but what is the point. if we buy him surely that means Rojo is being benched or being sold and why would we do that, he's pretty good as is

Stone imo would be excellent business. Having Jones, Smalling and Stones in the same team would form a perfect English core for the next few years.
We're one quality CB short anyway in the sense that Blind and Rojo are both versatile enough and can cover at left-back and/or CM (for Blind). And until Rojo and Jones prove their fitness, we will need another CB.
Personally, I think both Jones and Rojo could develop into real quality CB. But both have been prone to injuries.

Changed my mind on this. I want a quality number 9 in January. Will also free Martial up to play out wide and give us more pace in those areas.
