If there's one thing LVG has got right it's the youngsters.
Januzaj came back from Dortmund and then picked up an injury, Boro was his first game back if I recall and he's wasn't great. Pereira hasn't been great for the u21's of late either, probably too much arsing about trying to be fancy. If they aren't pulling their weight for whatever reason then they won't get in the squad, fine by me.
They may have superior natural talent to other youngsters but if they aren't showing the right attitude they've no right to be ahead in the pecking order. Januzaj's attitude was brought into question at Dortmund as well but he's in the squad today so may get a chance.

Thanks for the Link edwood it answers a few questions which were niggling at the back of my brain.
I took an instant liking for Januzaj, not only because he had 2 "J,s " in his name. The two lads were wrong to showboat even in an U21 game. But hell they must feel that their talent is being suppressed and wasted under LVG. They probably were thrilled about a move to the Cavalier club that United once were, ready to dance their magic in the Theatre of Dreams only to be introduced to the 3 step Cha-cha style of play that LVG passes for football.

Not really, Janazai thought he was the dogs bollocks and wanted the Dortmund loan, against the advice of of LVG, and they sent him back saying he wasn't mentally right and not mature enough to get in their first team. What do you want VG to do??? It's down to Adnan to grow up and grow some balls and put a marker down.
Periera is still not first team ready for me but I dare say he would have had more chances if he'd have shown the correct attitude. VG is like Fergie when it comes to youth, he won't stand any nonsense.

I don't know for Pereira, but Januzaj's got a serious attitude problem. He is becoming arrogant (which can be an essential asset for an attacker BTW), except he clearly stands on the wrong side of it. He really needs to grow up and mature or his career will go nowhere.

It's alright to be a little arrogant as long as you work your ass off. We've seen Martial trying to make things a little bit more flashy, but he actually pulls it off most of the time. It would be a shame to lose out on Januzaj and Pereira, especially as I consider them the most naturally gifted players of the whole U21s, but then you see players like Rashford push through the ranks keeping their head down and working hard.

Was looking for a better quality one, nice strike with his weak foot.

good to see him enjoying his football and being productive again. Ok, it was only against lower league opposition but this could gain confidence. Will be interesting to see how he does at Sunderland, will surely watch some games over the season due to him.

He was anonymous for large chunks of that match by all accounts, that's his goal this season and I think Moyes is the one to make him
