Manchester United are in advanced talks to end Adnan Januzaj's season-long loan deal with Borussia Dortmund, Sky sources understand. Janzuaj has failed to make a single start for Dortmund since joining the club towards the end of the summer transfer window. Sky sources understand negotiations between the clubs are currently taking place, but under the terms of his loan they must both come to an agreement before the 20-year-old can return to Old Trafford. Januzaj featured four times for United before joining Dortmund, scoring the winner in the 1-0 victory over Aston Villa in August.

coach Thomas Tuchel quickly decided that he was not mentally ready for the demands of first-team football He's completely right. Despite all his talent, Januzaj must mature or face missing out on a stellar career.

Bit more from Tuchel this morning in Bild
Tuchel said that Januzaj didn't show the "desire and attitude" to be a success.
"It is a pity he did not show the desire and attitude you need to progress at his age," he said.
"My feeling was that he never was completely with us, that a part of him always stayed in Manchester and he compared everything here with United.
"We were not able to help him to shake that off."
The trouble is that's exactly how he is when he's in Manchester.

Adna Januzaj looks set for his first appearance after returning from the loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in Manchester United Under-21s'trip to Reading on Monday night. The Belgium international is pencilled in for a start in the live MUTV fixture, rather than going straight into the first-team squad for the Emirate FA cup tie Sheffield United. Not only does Louis Van Gaal want to assess the youngster's fitness but there is also some paperwork relating to his eligibility still to be finalised. "I hope he can show his talent this year for Manchester United" the boss told MUTV when asked about the forwards' return to the fold this week.

Adnan Januzaj scored against Villa, moved to Germany for 4 months, returned to United and still has more goals in the Premier League than Eden Hazard.
