Recent goal scoring record and assists strongly favours Mata. Don't misunderstand me, Rooney is a legend but at the present time he is not living up to his image. If we want what's best for MU, then Mata is the obvious choice.

What's best for United and the manager is to get Rooney back in form and scoring again, you only do that by playing him and making his job easier.

And since Van Gaal is not gonna drop him anyway, I'm starting to think we might wanna try putting him and Martial together up front as a duo, might rub some talent on him
