Indescribable how happy I am with this result, and most importantly performance. Gerard was the icing on the cake, that hear map on page 6 - fucking Lol!
Whilst it wasn't the performance of a generation, it was a continuation of progression from Spurs. It was important that we stayed at that level, otherwise the pundits would have written that off as a one time thing. It's clear there is now a greater level of understanding between player and manager, and with this form I feel pretty fucking confident of doing City and Arsensal.
Now let's watch everyone get injured during internationals

Really pissing me off the way the media have responded to Yesterday's game. Think it was so disrespectful Yesterday to get a 'heart-felt' apology from a wanker who played for under a minute before speaking to the manager of the winning team. Every time they show the highlights on sky the first interview they show after it is of Stevie me. Then the papers this morning are going with his sending off as the page filler rather than say Mata celebrating scoring 2 quality goals one of them a contender for goal of the season!

 Beautiful. I absolutely pissed myself when Gerrard got sent off. I even said when he went through Mata that he'll either turn it round or get sent off, I didn't have to wait long for my answer :lol: You could see from the way he went into the tackle with Mata he was already at boiling point. And it only took Herrera's retaliation to send him over the edge. It did ruin the game though, completely ruined the intensity that we'd built up in the first half and complacency stepped in. Can't take anything away from the first half though, considering the way we've played at Anfield down the years if was a massive, massive performance. The passing and movement, the combination play both left and right is sublime. There's the guile, craft, movement and technique down the right (I include Valencia in that as well) and then the more raw physical attributes on the left with the hair bear's strength and Young's pace and it's all been working to a tee in the last two games. The only thing concerning me is will van Gaal try to bring van Persie back in and disrupt the balance that he's found? |

Actually I'm quite sure he won't but now in hindsight it would be better for us if RvP was there yesterday instead of Rooney. He simply is not the same player at Anfield, every time he looks like he just arrived from Accrington Stanley or similar to fill the spot. |

He can't possibly justify RVP getting back into this side right now. If he does get straight back in I'll be incredibly annoyed.
