Confidence is back, two points off the second place, direction of where the team goes is in sight.
Tough place to go, Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge.
The former can and should beat the latter!

This is THE big one. Can't afford to lose this, I'll happily take a draw after the Spurs game.

Can't afford to lose this, I'll happily take a draw after the Spurs game. Black text yes, agree, the red one no, I wouldn't take it happily, not after Spurs' first half. What I think will happen is that they'll try to push us back from the beginning with high pressing. If we are alive after that period, I'll demand a win no excuse! Pool are not exactly consistency freaks themselves and if we manage to contain them in their opening waves, we'll be on a right track taking that the lads will show up like similar with 1st half Hotspur game. Etc.

1.30 kick off at Anbollox. It'll be a hard fought victory if that's the outcome. Got draw written all over it.

Yeah it's going to be a tight edgy game for me. Could go either way.

Please guys, just no! Victory written all over it! We're on the up aren't we, why drop in confidence now? That said lightheartedly, you're most probably right. (no white text)

This might just be the most important game of the season. A draw would certainly be good. But we won't play for that, right? We need to go there and play our game, keep the ball, frustrate them, and wait for the right moment to be clinical.

Big game as always.
Not sure I'd change the team, if it ain't broke and all that. Mata did well his link up was key and Blinds intelligence made up for his lack of pace, Sterling is a different proposition but Blind may cope better than Shaw who didn't have the best of games against Ox, Rojo possibly.
We'll go in full of confidence any who.

In a strange way Liverpool scraping this lucky win tonight could be a godsend and might make us more likely to get a win and open up a 5 point gap to them on Sunday. If they'd have drawn or lost we might have gone there and been too conservative. At least now we know what we have to do, no doubts about it.
In truth the result of this game is more important for them than us, they simply can't afford to lose at this late stage of the season, whereas if we lose it only puts us a point behind. With this win they might be the side who are nervy and cautious on Sunday.
Going to be a very interesting game and I can't wait for it.

Their defence really isn't anything special, get at donkey Sakho and Can and we'll get some joy.
Attacking wise though they are dangerous. Just don't give them the ball  Smalling and Jones should do the job they did with Kane on Sturridge.
No doubt they'll be up for it, should be a great game.

I'd definitely be going with the same team. No need to change it for me. I would say I'd worry about Mata being wide and not tracking back but I was worried on Sunday and look how he performed. If we play like we did on Sunday there's only 1 team winning.
I think Liverpool have improved massively from the start of the season but they're still a side who flatter to deceive. Without Suarez they still look toothless and clueless in front of goal. Sturridge doesn't look fully fit yet, Sterling might get in behind our defence a few times but his final ball or finish has been shocking all season. Coutinho is the one with the most quality out of that attacking 3 for me and is the one I'd be most worried about.
I think they'll lose the midfield battle if going with the same lineup on Sunday, Fellaini will out-muscle them and Carrick/Herrera will out-pass them. Henderson and Allen is a really weak looking midfield duo.
Then you've got their shaky defence. If Roo and co are on the same form as Sunday it could be a tough afternoon for them.
The biggest thing that stands out from that Liverpool side is the lack of physical presence, they're all small and lightweight players. I think we struggle more against sides who have the ability to outmuscle us...which Liverpool do not. If it's a passing game, I see that only favouring us as well.
Yep... I've convinced myself we're going to bog this now. Cue a 3-0 defeat!

Yeah Mata did well on that right side, might not be his preferred position but his link up play was great and his range of passing as well.
Did the defensive side very well, Di Maria tends to give the ball away a heck of a lot and defensively hasn't been great last few games.
I'd stick with Juan, Angel off the bench if we need more pace.

Have to agree, Mata got his chance and took it. He deserves to keep his place in the side. Although Di Maria played his best game for a while vs Arsenal before being sent off. It's not a bad situation to be in anyway. We have to choose between Di Maria and Mata.. Life sucks!

I did fancy Wilson against that CB pairing but he's doubtful after the knock last night.
