That article has one blatant error. It calls Rooney a forward!

No really, I feel kinda relaxed about this one, don't know the reason though. It's not like we're playing as a Brazil of'94 or anything but there is something positive in the air about tonight.

I'm not asking for them both to bag a hat-trick, just a bit more running, try and stretch the defence, even without pace they should be capable of drawing the defence out.

Absolutely gorgeous first half. Composed passing all over the place, especially from a new founded midfielder, the Captain Fantastic of United. Jonny Nesta world class performance as always, while Radamel Batistuta is tearing them apart, dominant in the air but enough about positives!
The main negative, Chris Heskey of course, can't score for shit which is his main task as a striker. I don't know what van Gaal was thinking to put him out there to lead our glorious front line. Sacrilege! But to be fair to him his biro has ran out of ink, great effort from him no doubt and he has put such a strong team out there, all heavy names, winning games in a lightning flames (does this even makes sense?).
I really do hope we don't drop in performance in the second half and expecting one or two goals more from Rojo and Paddy! Also, the spectators to keep being so noisy while masticate those tasty sandwiches.
Finish 'em off in style, Fellainiesque babe!

It's happened again, dropped in performance but being lucky to score through all those Burnley legs. Credit to van, I've always been a fan!
Special thanks to Southampton for being so kind to waste 20 shots and an extra man. Cheers folks!

3-1 is a flattering result to us although we did dominate the second half, the first half was atrocious, despite going in at half time in the lead.
I am no longer expecting quality displays this season, if we grind out results like this on a regular enough basis that it gets us into the top 4 then I guess I'll be satisfied. As I've said countless times before, next season will be a different matter.
Falcao needs to be benched and then not signed in the summer. It's almost as if he coated himself in butter before the game, he was that useless at keeping control of the ball.

Have to say one thing complimentary... The one positive tonight and for our season so far is that we seem to have got back that will to win despite not playing well. We lost it last season and that was plain to see. This season, there's been countless games in which we struggled, Southampton and Arsenal away are 2 big examples but in the end we got the win, in the end that is the most important thing, if you're not able to play to your best, you have to be able to grind out victories.

Worst performance so far, a little improvement second half but that was more down to Burnley running out of steam. I'll take playing shit and picking up the points but how long does it go before we can no longer ride our luck and we get punished.
Van Gaal's surely got to mix it up now as the player performance is way below par, Falcao in particular needs to be dropped and Rooney's being wasted at the minute.

Others positives - Smalling and McNair. Sometimes you gotta have players to score when your strikers are being utterly useless, so wonderful night for Smalling and Paddy looked good on the right even though he made a few mistakes. By the looks of it, we'll be in need of a right back and he's the most likely candidate for this place now until we buy someone in the summer maybe

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal: "I didn't like this performance today. Of course, we have won and the result is fantastic. But after this match you cannot say that we are going up and I want to progress every match. Daley Blind has a headache and maybe tomorrow it is better. I don't think Blind will be out for next Monday's game. But for Phil Jones, I fear. I don't know. We'll have to wait and see tomorrow."

Manager's not happy, shit in the first half and Burnley were the better team and we were a little better in the second but still not good enough.
