Covid not the be all and end all of excuses either. Just a handy thing to fall back on for the performance. They played that way against Norwich too before the covid stuff
Last night from 60/65 minutes onwards we gave it more intensity and had the crowd silenced and showed something like a team that suddenly wanted to win the game.
Where did they find that from if they were so bolloxed for the first hour??
It's one of the hallmarks of this team. Waiting for a 20/25 minute blitz (if not less) and hope for the best.
And lets face it, we're not talking about cream of the crop oppostion here where 20/25 domination would be a pipe dream

Reckon they'd be feeling the same way about us. Always rise it at home against us, they made it hard for the scousers few days back. Plus we're lacking game given recent events We'll see, depends on the attitude of the players and how they've been behaving on their time off If we think we can just turn up then we're getting turned over Hate to say told ye so Ralf on here after saying we weren't physical tonight and it didn't change much from Norwich Alright lads must have just thought we could rock up to James's park and get a handy 3 points. Small matter of Chelsea and United at the Bridge tomorrow in the first league game post Ole. Weird feeling about this. Not going in dejected as I was in previous games but in no meaningful way optimistic either. This one is definitely on the players now regardless of the long term stuff. Should be there tonight setting out about proving it wasn't all their fault New manager/interim manager bounce and all that. Think we'll set up for a minimum of not getting a hiding as a baseline after the City and Liverpool games. Draw/tight match would seem respectable given the circumstances. Intriguing to say the least. |

We've had our own share of show ponies over the years.
That's the problem now with level of money that's in the game now.
Want the best, end up paying top dollar and face the challenges that come with that or buy unknowns and hope for the best.
Bit like my previous post, we always found the balance failry easily before but it's not as easy in today's game

You're a defender so you guys defend and protect, then other end we're attackers and we're here to score goals for you once you keep it tight at the back
No inbetween nor idea really how to link up the 2.
When it comes off yeah its a ####### sight to behold but football is like life, full of imperfections that need joining up to make the sum better than whole of the parts
