Reckon they'd be feeling the same way about us. Always rise it at home against us, they made it hard for the scousers few days back.
Plus we're lacking game given recent events
We'll see, depends on the attitude of the players and how they've been behaving on their time off
If we think we can just turn up then we're getting turned over

Musn't have heard of Newcastle United before

Maguire's alluded to just how bad the covid situation was during that down time, and to be honest, looking at that last night, I kinda believe him.
Lots of first teamers need dropping ..and we still need a new midfield in January...

Covid not the be all and end all of excuses either. Just a handy thing to fall back on for the performance. They played that way against Norwich too before the covid stuff
Last night from 60/65 minutes onwards we gave it more intensity and had the crowd silenced and showed something like a team that suddenly wanted to win the game.
Where did they find that from if they were so bolloxed for the first hour??
It's one of the hallmarks of this team. Waiting for a 20/25 minute blitz (if not less) and hope for the best.
And lets face it, we're not talking about cream of the crop oppostion here where 20/25 domination would be a pipe dream

They kept the ball better in the second half, the possession stats showed that, keep the ball you run less and have better energy bursts . Plus those who are actually fully recovered will get fitter throughout the game - you'd expect the energy levels next game to be better again.
But you can't escape the fact that there is a large element of bottling going on in the side with too many players. Performance levels are not consistent enough with a shite mentality, too many 3/4/5 instead of 7/8 performances. Ralf has his work cut out and needs help in this coming window

We had most the ball yes that's not in doubt. We had 70% possession for the 90 minutes.
The question is what the #### did we do with it. Newcastle had the better chances and probably deserved to win

That was Bloody Awful. I couldn't watch the game live as it was being televised after my bedtime so recorded it. Settled down to watch the recording next morning and after 20/30 minutes could not watch it has it was spoiling my breakfast, so fast forwarded it, and it did not get better.
