Spot on for me. Otamendi is a tough tackling, aggressive defender. Not a ball player.

I wasn't and am not to keen on Blind as a CB in those uggly, physical games.
But if we can control games the way we have been so far and force a tactical dimension on our opponents, I've no problem with Blind at CB to be fair. Blind can do well at CB if the team as a whole follows the plan, because position/tactics wise he is one of the best players you'll find.

Let's face it he's a true total football product and can slot in pretty much anywhere. He's the opposite of most modern footballers whereby he relies on his brain to do his work for him, makes him a rarity.
If / when he fully adapts to the physical side of things in this league he'll end up being a players player. He's looking a great all round asset and you can see why VG took the plunge.

The issue now with Blind is everyone is waiting for him to be shown up, so when he does make a costly error people will jump on the "I told you so!" bandwagon ignoring how well he's played previous. He's been very impressive so far and deserves his place in that defence. It should stay unchanged for the foreseeable future, injury permitting. Agree with that. I definitely wasn't happy when he stepped in, but he's done a good job and has to be aknowledged.

Louis says Fellaini will play as a 9 and 10 this season.
Rojo will play against Ajax reserves later in the week.
Says youth will get more of chance if we don't strengthen, would like to play Lingard and McNair for long periods.

We could have done with Fellaini v Newcastle for sure. Nice to see Rojo coming back and "if we don't strenghten" probably means that we won't.

They had Marcel Van Der Kraan on talkSHIT earlier laughing at it. He said VG is the first to admit large chunks of his training sessions are boring - all the more incentive for them to do those bits well and move on. lol.
