Surely not to late but he needs to start all over again and convince people he still can make it to the top. Who knows, we have seen much more dramatic comebacks than this.

Good to see him back, such a prolific player at youth level but has struggled with the jump somewhat not helped by injuries, unsuccessful loans etc. still he's young at 21 so has time on his side, needs to get back playing and hopefully avoid anymore setbacks.
