So we win the Europa and City finish 4th, they're in the Europa? Fuck getting top 4, we should win the Europa instead.

I think you've gotta still just give the edge to going for top 4. Still more attainable than winning a cup IMO. I think we can afford to play an understrength side against Midtjylland as well and still get through which gives us more time to see where we are in the league before deciding to go all out for the Europa.

Yeah see where we after next week really as its Arsenal/Leicester and City/Spurs, that should maybe show who could drop off.
We have the early kick off as well so by the time those lot play it could be down to three.

Yeah it can change stupid quick. I'm looking at the positives, we gained a point on City today. ... Just looked at all the remaining fixtures and they have a very tricky run in. Add that to the fact they're still in every competition and I genuinely believe they're looking the most vulnerable.
Their remaining fixtures are:
Spurs (h) Newcastle (a) Liverpool (a) Villa (h) Norwich (a) Us (h) Bournemouth (a) West Brom (h) Chelsea (a) Stoke (h) Southampton (a) Arsenal (h) Swansea (a)
Compare that to ours:
Sunderland (a) Arsenal (h) Watford (h) West Brom (a) Palace (h) City (a) Everton (h) Spurs (a) Villa (h) West Ham (a) Leicester (h) Norwich (a) Bournemouth (h)

Of course this all means nothing as the premier league is as unpredictable as it's ever been this season.

Going on from what Matt said a couple pages back, I completely disagree that it was Van Gaal's fault this time. Yes, he could have made the changes a little bit sooner, but you cannot blame the manager for choosing to retain possession when you're 1-0 up to a Chelsea side. After the goal we didn't just sit back, we tried to push forward, keep possession and if a chance opens up try to score. It was lack of focus, Memphis being Memphis, Blind slipping, BJ not being in a proper position - I'd call it a collective defensive error. Though 12 hours later would have given me some time to cool off - nope. I can't believe we fucking threw 2 points away like that.
Anyway, plenty of positives - BJ and Darmian superb again. I'm especially surprised by Darmian as he seem to be getting back into form. BJ was a little over his head at times, but he's getting better with each game. Another game where we showed we can actually play good football. Lingard's finish was great, Mata was amazing.

you cannot blame the manager for choosing to retain possession when you're 1-0 up to a Chelsea side What possession? Chelsea had >90% possession the last 10 minutes of the game. What pisses me with LVG is how he changed his game plan the minute we scored. I mentioned before that SAF would have continued to press forward, no matter who the opposition are. The MU board dismissed Moyes (who was useless) but who had a better win ratio than LVG. And remember, LVG had >250,000,000 budget!!!!

After the goal we kept pressing and trying to score up until the last 10 minutes. I don't think the game plan was changed at all - it was the players who failed to keep with it. Moyes never looked like he can turn things around, it was all terrible football and the games against Derby, Stoke and yesterday against Chelsea have shown that we can actually play good football. Who says Moyes wasn't offered the same budget? How many top players have even heard of Moyes? He went on to try and sign Bale (according to rumours) with a back up plan of Fellaini.
