For what its worth here's what Merson thinks This is a big game and a great way to end the weekend - a proper Super Sunday clash. Chelsea haven't got much to play for - they can't win the league or get top four - so I was surprised they didn't open the game up at Watford and have a go. That's been disappointing really. United probably had less possession than they've had all season against Stoke and they won 3-0. Michael Carrick's return was key, he got the ball forward quickly and provided better service. This will be a good game, and I fancy Chelsea to edge this one. PAUL PREDICTS: 3-2

Merson is a dickhead, never mind him.

And Lawro thinks we'll park the bus
De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, BJ, Schneiderlin, Carrick, Lingard, Mata, Martial, Rooney.
These games are always tricky regardless of form but Chelsea have been beyond shit this season, a little improvement under Hiddink but we should be in a good mood to do them.

If Martial is on it, he could have their defence on toast. Ivanovic and Terry won't be able to handle his pace. Play like we did vs Stoke and we win.

Match time amended. As far as line up I don't care, but I'll go with the Stoke line up minus Fellaini

Every single article that I've read or pundit that I've listened to fancies Chelsea to win. Obviously one-two good games that we've had don't make a huge difference but come on ...not to mention we play much better when facing bigger sides who don't just sit back so I fully expect this to be a proper derby. United to win it 3-1

A proper derby, despite the fact 1 team is in Manchester and the other is in London.
Lawrenson thinks we'll park the bus which is absolute nonsense because you'd have to relinquish possession to do that. I think it'll be entertaining but low scoring.

I hope that we play the way we played against them when they visited Old Trafford and hopefully this time be clinical in front of goal because their defence is not something to rave about this season especially at the Bridge. Like Jie I would restore schneiderlin back I'm the team or if he wants a more attacking impetus then play Herrera. I feel we need to win more than Chelsea considering the results yesterday to be able to close the gap and I hope it's an open game because that will suit us more... My prediction is 2-0

Vital game to win. City have dropped points, a victory places us only 4 points behind. So a win is the only acceptable outcome. We can't keep blowing those chances to climb back when our rivals drop points. Today is going to give a clear indication of what the lads are made of and what our intentions truly are. If we don't win, I at least hope to see an excellent display, no matter what tactics LVG favours. Defensive, counter-attack, possession, it's all up to him: but go for it, show your intent. That's all I am asking.
Out of topic, but imagine if we could get City out of the top-4, now that would be a good way to welcome Pep.

Schneiderlin was purchased for exactly these kind of games, don't get how he can't get in the starting lineup. I'm not going to complain too much though as this team was very good against Stoke (including Fellain). I'll wait til full time if it goes to shit.
