He's not been too bad in his last few, this team selection is on a bit of roll so I'm not surprised he's not change it and I don't see anything wrong with that. Chelsea are dangerous from set pieces and Fellaini is a beast at clearing them.
Schneiderlin has started pretty much every big game bar Arsenal, against Liverpool he was poor and done nothing since to get himself back in. LVG doesn't like Herrera deep and he's done nothing to warrant a place either.
You might not like Fellaini nor do I particularly but he's just about worthy of his place right now.

JSYK, I've got a 6-1 win down for us. Think it might be 4-1 now.

Why LVG waited so long to introduce Schneiderlin and Herrera is beyond me. It cost us the game.
When we scored, we chose to defend and sit deeper: that's a choice I respect. But Fellaini was tired and needed replacing a lot sooner, while Mata was of no use to chase the ball and harass them, while Herrera's energy would have done us the world of good. And what does LVG do? He introduced Memphis, who on the only great occasion he gets misplaced his pass, which leads to a counter that leads to a goal.
LVG is an amazing tactician. And it wasshown again today where we dominated that Chelsea side. But as I've been saying all along, he is a terrible manager. The game went too fast for him, he didn't react quickly enough, and it cost us the game eventually. We shouldn't have let them come back into the game so easily.
Congrats to the players though, who are playing much better and it's a lot more enjoyable this way. The defeat is on LVG in my books. Although I truly recognise the quality of his tactics and how he prepared the game.

Fucking sickened. We were superb but lost concentration at a vital time, I don't care if Blind slipped, it shouldn't have been that easy for Costa to score at such a vital time. But congratulations to Memphis, your nonchalant attitude shined bright again. 4v2 against their defence and you could either keep possession and try and run the clock down or you could've created something to kill the game but what do you do? Make an awful pass that leads to them countering and scoring a goal and the most fucking galling thing was seeing the cunt make no real attempt to get back and defend after he gave the ball away.
Great, great display and if we play like this for the rest of the season we should give top 4 a real good go but not taking advantage of this superb performance today has left us 6 points behind, got it all to do but the performance has given me hope.

Oh well, have to pretty much win all our remaining games now for the top 4. Only 1 or 2 slips can be afforded either that or win the Europa League.

Gutted.
Memphis cost us, yes LVG brought him on but he can't foresee him being an utter twat, he's got two options play the easiest pass in the fucking world to kill it or keep the ball, he did neither. That lead to their goal, we were all over the place and with poor defending as well for that, BJ was playing them all onside really but he'll learn.
We bossed the game up until then, retreated a little too much but Chelsea have the quality to force that. Just one fuck up and lack of focus cost us.
Good performance from us though, everyone did their bit, confident and crisp passing, those two periods of the first and second halves we were brilliant. We've maintained that level over the last few games which is important, all to do for the top four but plenty of games to go. Keep at this level and we'll win games.

I agree. 6 points is a big gap at this stage but with the way this season's gone it's not unassailable. We continue to play like that and we'll win most of our remaining games. But we have to keep that level up.

We have all the top 4 left to play which is probably a good thing. We'll have to get the wins against most if not all of them. Basically 6 pointers, top of the table equivalent of a relegation battle. Its all about the results now final 3rd of the season. Thing I'm most curious about is who we're hoping/expecting to drop off in the current top 4

Although this game ended in a draw, the performance was superior to most games we won. Chelsea were pegged most of the time until we scored, then we decided to hold onto our lead. That's where SAF was different. His teams, on most occasions, would have kept on going forward especially since we had the momentum. Players 8/10, LVG 6/10

Genuinely think City look the most likely to drop off. That would be fucking hilarious if they were to drop out of the top 4. There's always one side who starts to slide though.

LVG 6/10? Where the fuck does he lose 4 points? You heard his post match conference? He's as pissed off with the way the players retreated after the 1st goal as we are. I can't really fault anything the manager did today, nor the players besides Memphis and that one defensive lapse. It's natural that a home side that is losing will dominate the final moments of the game, especially 1 with the quality that Chelsea has.
People will literally blame the manager for absolutely anything.

UCL and EL is going to have some bearing on it as well. Only a week or 2 before it all starts up again
