Just so frustrating watching us play. It's no fun discussing how we should play anymore. Regardless of the players we start or formation we have been using, it's the same old boring shit coming out from us. In the next 10-15 games, I am gonna predict we either win 1-0, draw 0-0 or lose by a goal or two. January signings will not matter anyways.

The performance was rubbish fair enough yesterday but it's not like last season against Yeovil we set the world alight or even Cambridge. As much as it is LVG's fault these players are effing up, you can't tell me that they can play the way they did against Swansea in the second half and Chelsea first and then he restricts them against Sheffield United nah. I also wouldn't be arsed if he was sacked tomorrow but as he said we have too many players who are too nice that they accept these types of shot performances.
By the way Jamie didn't you say a few weeks ago that you wouldn't mind us playing shite as long as we win end of the game? Maybe I misunderstood your point but for me as much as I want entertainment I just care about results now.

You either rid of all the players or the manager then. Take a pick. I am going for the latter.

What an absolutely disgraceful display of football from a near full strength Manchester United side regardless of the 1-0 result. Fans leaving after 80 minutes, chants of "attack, attack, attack." Two shots on target against a League One side. Are you watching Mr. Woodward?

Maybe I misunderstood your point but for me as much as I want entertainment I just care about results now. That was a few months ago but the bigger issue for me is that he seems powerless to change whats happening. Scholes said last night the players look bored and he's right, so do the fans and even the coaching team and manager. It just isn't working. That is when it becomes pointless, we saw a bit of spirit from the players against Chelsea but back to the same flat, poor displays against Swansea (even though they performed a little better in the 2nd half of that game) and Yesterday. Also have to remember that these last 2 poor performances that have produced wins have come off the back of an appalling run of games without victory in which it looked like the beginning of the end for LVG. Go back to September through to the beginning of November and we were rarely dropping points and if we had a poor result, like the Arsenal game we bounced back. The feeling around the club is much different now and rightly so.

Wayne Rooney, "we did what we needed to do" Worrying signs that the players themselves are starting to belive this is the way forward. I'm getting really tired of all this, "it's very hard to play against defensive sides" bullshit. Does VG think that under SAF, teams came and left us plenty of room to attack? No they fucking didn't. We became what we did because SAF had a large pair of cojones and played an exciting brand of football in his vast majority of years at the club not this cowardly approach we're seeing now. If we were playing good football then leaving out players like Schneiderlin and Young would make sense for teams like Sheffield but we're not. Young has been a constant threat and we've only lost once with Morgan in the team all season so VG leaves both out saying they are both in the red zone. Feck me. They've played less than 2 matches between them the last couple of weeks whereas players like Mata, Martial and Rooney have played a lot more games than them this season. If I cared about VG I would say, come on Louis, it's time to grow a pair but since I don't give 2 shits about him I say feck off and take your boring anti football with you.

"The board don't want to change manager now (since we will most probably get a new one in the summer) in order to maximize our top-4 chances". I understand the reasoning, but they're fools to think we will reach top-4 under LVG with that type of football. Right now, we're losing support, we're losing sponsors, we're losing points, we are losing reputation, potential future transfers, and most of all we're losing our own players and identity. It's about high time we stopped this: Giggs couldn't do much worse at this point, and if he fails to reach the top-4 (which LVG won't get either anyway) at least he will lift the spirit and bring some positivity.
I think LVG must go. Let Giggs take charge, bring back Phelan and Meulensteen to assist him and see how it goes until the summer. They can't do much wrong, and I am sure it will give everyone a boost. Or Get in Mourinho and you know he will make us competitive, and maybe he could even reach a good chemistry with the squad and stay on for longer than 2 years.

I agree Matt. If VG had of managed us after SAF instead of Moyes then I think he'd now be out the door but as the club don't want to admit they got it wrong (again) we will struggle on. As you say. Could it be any worse with Giggs? I very much doubt it. When the crowd sarcastically cheer because we had a shot we have to listen. When sections of the crowd boo the team off we have to listen. When large sections of the crowd scream attack, attack, attack we have to listen. When our biggest sponsor says our type of football isn't exactly want they want to see we have to listen. I could go on all day but you get my point. Something (happily) tells me that Mou isn't in the running or I think he'd already be in charge. One manager who has impressed me the last couple of seasons is Pochittino. He seems to be able to get the most out of his players which is exactly what we need and he for sure would get us playing football again. If the board are dubious about Giggs why not bring the great man himself back until the end of the season? He's been sat in the stands every home game so he knows exactly what we need. I'm not saying give him a war chest to sign who he wants but with the squad we now have I wouldn't have any doubt he would get us top 4 which is the absolute minimum this season.
