I just think that when he's announced everyone needs to leave their preconceptions about him at the door and give him a chance to prove he's the right man for the club. He's a world class manager who's wanted this job for a while, I'm sure he's more than capable of adapting himself slightly to the needs of the club. That's what I was thinking. We are pre-conditioned to dislike him as a manager of a rival team, but now that he's about to be our manager he deserves a clean slate. I do kinda dread seeing him in Red though - looks so wrong

Not sure I can give him a clean slate, but I won't go around asking for his removal after the first loss. I can guarantee that at the very least.
Joking of course. Once he's a red, he'll be OUR bastard

Exactly, he is going to be our manager. And reading the forums of rival fans they're already bricking it. Believe me, the last thing the likes of City and Liverpool wanted was for us to go and get a serial winner like Mourinho. He'll make us genuinely hated again rather than just being laughed at, adding Zlatan will only increase the hatred. I miss being hated.
He also dislikes those Scouse cunts as much as we do and enjoys trolling them. You can't tell me you wouldn't enjoy seeing us win at Anfield with Jose running up the touchline like a twat, winding up the Liverpool fans.
The only reservation I have about him is the youth thing but like I've said I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because this is the first club he's managed where the youth is an important park of the make up of the club.
His playing style doesn't bother me at all, we didn't always play on the front foot under Fergie, he also understood the importance of playing in a different way against certain opposition. Just look at the counter attacking game we played at Arsenal in Fergie's later years and some of the beautiful goals we scored playing on the counter. Mourinho takes it to a slightly more extreme level but you win the big games at all costs. I feel the same beating Liverpool whether we scrape a 1-0 or thrash them by 3. It's going to be good having a manager who doesn't just go with the same tactics every fucking game no matter who we're playing.
In general Mourinho's sides have played good football. His teams are always full of power and pace. He gets tarred with this boring football label but it's bullshit as far as I'm concerned. I remember his first stint at Chelsea those guys were a quality side. Tough and hard to beat but also played some good stuff and above all else had a seriously strong winning mentality.

It should all come out and be clear enough in the subsequent interviews with Woodwood and Mou, the media have picked up on it and made a thing of it so it will get mentioned.
Depends on that as to how much leeway I give him

Mou was someone I enjoyed watching from a distance because you never knew what was going to happen with him. Never wanted him at United but as he's here he'll get my support. At least with him I don't have a bad acid taste in my mouth that I had when I heard VG was coming. That's a plus

Can someone please tell me how it takes 4 days and counting (and probably a lot longer) for some fuckwit to decide what watch Mou has to wear or what car to drive? Then again with Woody at the helm it wouldn't surprise me if finally Mourinho doesn't sign for us. Then, I really would laugh my nuts off.

Guess it depends what kind of arseholes Chelsea are being about the bit of Mourinho they own and still get revenue from.

You could be right but if they can't reach an agreement in 1,2 or 3 days what makes them think they will reach an agreement at all? Saga after saga after saga. Just when will we actually want something and just go and actually get it without any fuss? Does Woody think it makes him look smarter negotiating for a week to get something when it should only take a couple of days. How many years variables can there be? If the rumours are true about paying Mourinho a retainer so he wouldn't go to another club in December shouldn't the club have been going behind the scenes then to crease out any future problems?

As far as I'm concerned, he's OUR manager now. Not ex-Chelsea or ex-Real Madrid, but rather the current United manager.
Cannot wait for him to get started.
