Nice one Louis - thanks for the first silverware since Fergie and wish you could have been way less stubborn
Wishing us the best of luck as well .......... I'm not really sold on José at Old Trafford .......let's see if he can stay two years and keep our youngsters on the books .......rendez-vous in 2018
Would still like to see Giggs involved somewhere but maybe that's selfish in itself the poor bugger has to cut free one day hopefully to better return in the future
Maybe Carrick will be sorted out one way or the other in the coming days .........

In all honesty how many of the players this season would've got their original chance if it wasn't for injuries? If anything that article proves that he will give youth a chance but you've got to impress. I have no doubt they'll play if they're good enough.

The only way he'll do it is if he is contractually obliged to do it, pretty much as LvG was obliged to do it - and if Woodwood has done his job properly all that should be sorted out.
Now whether El Cunto sticks to it is another matter.

It's not the best article because they just raft off a load of debutants some of which aren't even from the clubs academies but if you look through said lists and then see how many were regulars under him or after him then it's pretty dire reading. He has struggled to take or rather isn't interested in taking youth from the academy and integrating them into the first team and for me it's a worry as it is pretty much an integral part of what this club stands for.
Last season McNair though he's tailed off this season, this season CBJ, Rashford and Fosu Mensah have had a regular time and held down their place all of which academy graduates with no other experience other than reserve football. That's not bad going.

Now whether El Cunto sticks to it is another matter. That's wishful thinking Ed, they aren't going to tell him how to do his job. His ego couldn't take it and we've seen under Moyes/LVG there's been no interventions.

They did it with VG, they stipulated what they wanted and got it, admittedly injuries were thrust on him and forced his hand but he was happy enough to run with it. It's all in the job description, take it or leave it and he really wants it by all accounts

I'll trust you then but saying you'll do it and actually doing it are two different kettles of fish as we've seen at Chelsea.

Well that's it, do you mean it or do you give lip service. Everywhere he's ever been he's not even given it lip service but then he's never had to.

I suppose only time will tell. When he returned to Chelsea he said he wanted to basically create something of a dynasty, which included bringing through more youth players. He didn't get the chance to do that but he definitely showed in those couple of years back there that he was a little more willing to try youth.
He's also only been at clubs who demand you win and win at all costs. Here he'll actually be applauded for giving young players a chance even if he doesn't win so it's definitely a different situation to his past jobs. In terms of dealing with the board and even the fans this will probably be the easiest and most relaxed job he's had.

I just think that when he's announced everyone needs to leave their preconceptions about him at the door and give him a chance to prove he's the right man for the club. He's a world class manager who's wanted this job for a while, I'm sure he's more than capable of adapting himself slightly to the needs of the club.
