Never been so happy about a player's injury before  I'm with Miguel on this one, Martial up front and Memphis on the left, but either will do as long as they move around.

Martial has been ineffective up front recently whereas Memphis' only good display came from that position. Of course there's also the option of going with 2 up front like vs Watford. I don't care about the setup, just happy that we're going to see a bit more pace in attack.

West Ham are not playing as well as they were when they beat the other big sides away from home. I think we will win this one comfortably, maybe 2-0 as well.

If this weather doesn't die down then the wind will win and you can flip a coin for the game. :o

Yeah it's going to play a big part today. With the weather as it is I expect it to be even more of a slog than I originally thought. Might be worth starting Fellaini.

tbh I'm looking to see if any bpl games have been called off, I'm half expecting it.

Big day for McNair, if Blind is indeed the LB. Not a great deal of pace but Memphis off the bench may have an impact if we're struggling.

Take Mata/Fellaini out for Memphis and I'd be happier but I like the look of the team still. Fellaini played well for the u21's and will cause problems in their area and add a bit of steal and solidity on what is bound to be a tough day with the conditions.

Anyone think that the setup will be similar to vs Watford with Mata/Fellaini in behind Martial/Lingard?

Terrible display. I really think LVG needs to get off his arse and score the goals for the team. How dare we create chances to win the game and not blame LVG for not finishing them for us? Why wasn't LVG on the end of Darmian's cross? Why didn't he finish Lingard's rushed swipe at goal? Why didn't he bulldozer Fellaini out of the way and score his chance from 2 yards out? Why didn't he score Basti's shot from the edge of the box? Why didn't he score from Memphis' quality bit of play which created a chance from 15 yards out? Why didn't he stop the game and dictate to the players what they should do in dangerous areas before they gave the ball away needlessly?
Shit, selfish Dutch cunt.

haha well with our slow and methodical build up he might have time to get on the end of those opportunities from his seat

Hahahaha Jamie I don't know what people are blaming him for today, his plan was spot on and led to more chances created but the players were absolutely not clinical. How long will it take for Mata to start getting criticised i mean Fellaini looked faster, a lot more dangerous than him, so many moves he took long to try and get it to his left foot instead of passing it into space when a counter attack was unfolding.
The players today should have done better but today was progress and a glimpse into how we would play when it all clicks.

Good point on Mata. He's getting a lot of stick for playing Fellaini on social media when I thought he played well (or did his job well), he causes problems in the opposition area, simple as that. Far more impact on the game than Mata and that wasn't just when he had the ball at his head, even with the ball at his feet he looked better than Mata.
