Belgium striker Christian Benteke became their second casualty ahead of Thursday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Bosnia when he pulled out of the match with a thigh injury. However, coach Marc Wilmots says Benteke - who had a scan after being injured in Liverpool's defeat by West Ham United on Saturday - could return for Sunday's Group B game in Cyprus.
Rogers will be biting his nails on this one . let's see how this shapes up for our match

Benteke played for Belgium but did not impress according to the coach He was unbelievably poor, but I truly suspect he didn't give 100%. For the first international game he was "injured", but I doubt it. Imo it's more self-preservation for Liverpool.

PAUL PREDICTS: 1-1 There isn't much between these two teams. Both suffered defeats before the international break, with United losing at Swansea and Liverpool getting slaughtered at home to West Ham. This is a big game for both managers, Brendan Rodgers can't afford to lose it whereas Louis van Gaal has to win. If this game goes anything like it did last season, and David de Gea doesn't play for United, then Liverpool win this game without a doubt. There is no way Liverpool can have as many chances as they did back then and not win the game. .................. yeah right the usual BS from Merson

Lawro and ex F1 Driver Mark Webber
Man Utd v Liverpool
This is a massive game for both teams but I cannot see it being a classic. Apart from a spell of about 25 minutes against Newcastle, Manchester United have not really prised open teams too often this season. It was the same with Liverpool last time out against West Ham, when they really struggled for shots on target too. So I am expecting this to be a very tight game, and I am also expecting it to end up as another draw.
Lawro's prediction: 1-1
Webber's prediction: This is the big one. I don't care how United do it, I just want them to win. 2-1

Nothing wrong with the 1-1 predictions but Merson's talking gibberish as usual. If De Gea doesn't play and the game goes the same as the fixture last season Liverpool win easy? Top class punditry at it's best right there.

Confirming Wilson to go on loan but has an instant call back if we need him. Says it was no good to keep Wilson and Januzaj in the squad in a similar role to last season, they need to play football. No guarantee's Martial gets straight into the side either.

This was in response to the papers talking about unrest. Says Carrick and Rooney went to him to say the dressing room is flat because they've all lost a mate in Rafa. So they spoke about it. etc.etc. Says journo's don't write about the other things he discussed with his players (I'm assuming he means more positive things). Then says the papers are always saying the fans say this, the fans want to know this. etc.etc
