But our main goal is to finish in the top 4 and next season we will have to improve the formation according to the new players that will sign for Man Utf

On a first sight and still full of anger (can't think calmly yet) is that we lacked one centerback, both fullbacks, both wingers and 2 central midfielders (one attacking and one anchor). So that's basically 7 players who would turn this game into 7-0 in our favor. Only RvP (although he missed a penalty), Smalling, Herrera and Young to an extent has played today. Injuries and no depth on the bench didn't help the cause, especially when you see Rooney and RvP in midfield with Fellaini as a CF who is a midfielder! Then shoehorn di Maria and Falcao in who are completely devoid of confidence and look half arsed in the pit of crap and hope for the best. Never gonna work!

we cant score against the teams who likes 'park the bus' Hear! That's exactly what I predicted only a few weeks ago. I am all in for LVG's possession, but he is playing it with the wrong players. Until we get world-class attackers of Messi's and Robben's mould, able to operate in the tiny spaces left by those deep-defending sides, we will just keep the ball and nothing more. Same until we fix our damned CM once and for all, where only Herrera and Carrick imo are good enough for a first-team spot. The way I see it, this summer is make or break. LVG's philosophy is good, and he has improved us massively, no matter what pundits/fans may say. But the players he will choose this summer will determine whether he will be a success or not and whether this club will go up or do a Liverpool. Personally, I believe we need 5 players: one CB with a perfect injury record, one RB, two CM's (someone who will replace Carrick and someone to partner Herrera to complete the trio), and one world-class attacker. As the games go by, I am more and more certain this is what we need. I also think I would take Nani back from his loan. I believe he could offer the trickery we're missing against team playing so deep against us, maybe not as first choice (but who knows? look at Young who was burried...), but as back up surely.

Rvp was woefull all i saw today from him was sit in midfield. Same for rooney to. Not one of them made one decent run. RVP must be gone In the summer. And defo need some one in the carrick ilk for when he is out injured. Pointless playing fellaini today he was absolute dross. 3 bad gamez on the bounce from him. Should be dropped for the next.

I thought we played well today. You can only move the ball so quickly when facing a massively compact back nine.
We simply weren't clinical enough. No doubt people will call us everything under the sea but when you have 80% possession and your centre forward has 10 shots on his own then you're doing the right things.
No real complaints today other than the fact I truly despise Tony Pulis.

That's what I can't understand. From that game at Stamford Bridge everything has turned upside down (scoring wise).

Rooney back up top next game (Palace) simple as that. Midfield won't be too much of an issue if they play a blanket defence

Any one else think a benteke type striker would have helped able to ruffle the defenders and bring the midfielders into play.

I dont know, either a pacey or a physical striker is needed up there especially against teams like this, and we have neither. He doesn't have to score but at least create an extra problem or 2.

I mean, if it's just that, I am afraid it's a much bigger issue than losing a tactical battle for instance. I think this team lacks leaders, either player with a voice in the dressing room or on-pitch leaders (showing the aggressivity and desire in order to inspire the other). Take Rooney: he is supposed to be the captain. I am sorry but he has been atrocious in that role in those difficult moments. It's easy to be the captain of a winning team, but when things went wrong, did he fight harder, did he push forward, did he show more aggressivity in his one-on-ones situations, etc. Was he the example to follow? No, he wasn't and therefore he is not the right captain, it's simple. Herrera imo would make a much better captain than Rooney. We have to many gentle players as I have always said. It's about high time we got those aggressive and leading faces who will take this generation to the next level. Then let LVG do his work and get the faces we're lacking and we will move forward imo. Maybe, like, some (many) of them know already they'll be fecked off from the team and doesn't show any desire? If this is the case it shows LVGis right to plan big spending. Young was burried at the start of the season, and yet he fought back and is one of the only player who has cemented his place for next season. Herrera couldn't get into the team, but he kept fighting and when he got the chance he took it and has been one of our best player this season. We need more of that attitude. If some players are showing no desire because they fear for their places, they can fuck off. I'd rather above-average players who will fight for the team, than other Di Maria's and world-class players with no guts.

Agree with you except for that Nani part. Nani has had enough chances dont see him coming back and turning things around. Lets make his loan move permanent and get Depay in. Also I don't know what Di Maria is upto, if he wants the PSG move, we may need another Winger too.

Just watching some highlights. The amount of times our players slipped falling on their arses! They need their studs serviced.
