Following back to back defeats, it's crucial that we collect three points against the Baggies.
Of course, there are no three easy points in the Premier League, but in a game against a lowly side like them at home, there's no reason why we shouldn't be winning this game. Remember, a top four finish isn't actually as secure as it seems, so this makes a win all the more necessary!

Don't quite know the injury situation for this, think Rooney is sure to be out. Carrick is expected to be back in with Jones and Rojo also close to be back. I'd be going with RVP in attack, played well for the reserves and will offer much more than Falcao. I'd be giving Di Maria a start in this game instead of Fellaini, I know it's the sort of game that could suit Fellaini but he's been pretty ineffective in his last couple of games. He'll be a good option off the bench anyway if needs be. De Gea
Valencia Smalling Jones Blind
Carrick
Mata Herrera Di Maria Young
RVP

And if Carrick is not fit yet Blind in his spot and Shaw at LB

Very strong attacking 5, looks good to me, but we don't know who LVG might want to punish for the display against Everton.

What's the situation on the defender front?
I feel that Fellaini is a big asset to the way we play and create, our best chances on Sunday came with him being involved.
De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Jones/McNair, Shaw, Carrick, Herrera, Fellaini, Mata, RVP, Di Maria.

Man Utd v West Brom (Saturday, 5.30pm, Sky Sports 1 HD)
Manchester United have got to bounce back here. I didn't see too much between them and Everton last week but it ended 3-0. That will have hurt Louis van Gaal after being on a roll in recent weeks.
West Brom aren't quite the side Tony Pulis wants them to be at the moment. They started off well but have become inconsistent. If you look at it, the football is a bit too open for Pulis' liking.
We should see a proper Pulis side next season, but the transformation won't start at Old Trafford.
PAUL PREDICTS: 3-0 (8/1 on Sky Bet)

Early goal is the key in this game. We should score before they settle into the game, that will open them up but if we dont score for about 20 mins then its hard to break them down.
LVG should have made some hard words after that performance, the team showed no fighting spirit and LVG has commented on it. So we can expect a reaction from the players.

For a Tony Pulis side they do concede a lot of goals, I don't think this group of players have fully accepted the way Pulis wants them to play yet. Of course they're going to be defensive but it's going to take a hell of a defensive display to keep us out. I think Merson's prediction could be spot on (think I'll kill myself now).

Rooney's fit, Jones poss. Shaw, Carrick out.
In which case Blind in midfield, Young LB with Di Maria in front.

I don't know why I've put Valdes, fingers just wanted to type his name. I have no explanation for my action!

Well if Valdes is going to make a first team appearance the time is right, we're what? -7 points ahead of 5th? Depends on whether Van Gaal wants to chase a higher position or not (knowing him he won't be happy with us finishing 4th). I think he'll go with Blind in midfield too, but he can also play Rooney in midfield and Blind on the left (unlikely but still an option)
