True Marc, as much as I feel confident at the moment when Sunday comes along I know I will be a nervous wreck. As Jamie said if we play our own game and starve them of the ball, I can't see Silva contributing that much, Yaya and Kun don't need the ball that much to change a game or contribute. I hope somehow LVG comes up with a plan to nullify their attacks, if that means us attacking them non stop or dominating possession so be it. I feel like City and Liverpool no matter the form are always up for it against us, really hoping VG can come up with the same result as against Liverpool.
Somehow this season in the big matches the so called squad players have been the ones that delivered so again if Young is plated I think he will have a very good performance but in small games where there isn't space I prefer Di Maria because his piece of magic can unlock the defence.

I have the arrogant expectancy back for these big games now. The way I feel, I'll be disappointed if we draw against them, although if it's a great derby with both sides playing well it will be easier to take.
My biggest worry is that we don't turn up. If we draw or lose and play really bad, not becoming of our last months worth of displays I'll be annoyed. I'll also be annoyed if we play well but don't take our chances or a sloppy defensive error costs us the win.
I suppose in the grand scheme of things winning isn't of paramount importance as just taking a point from a competitive and close game is an improvement on last season against these men.
I just feel there's a massive chance here to restore the natural order of things in Manchester. They've got an aging defence that has been poor all season and an incredibly inconsistent midfield and attack.
It would be great to fire an even bigger warning shot than we have done the last month to the rest of the league and even Europe as to what we're going to do next season.

I prefer Di Maria because his piece of magic can unlock the defence. He hasn't shown us much lately.

Fair enough but even when off form Di Maria still creates at least one major chance or we opportuniy. Even if it was just Villa on the weekend he went as sloppy as he has been in possession, I guess that is some sort of improvement.
I agree with you Jamie as well, even though City usually turn up for the derby it feels a whole lot better knowing we have a chance whether City turn up or not because of how VG approaches the big games. I am confident but I know I will be nervous before the game starts. I feel this is our time to start getting the results against them like with Liverpool, we gave them a game with 10 men in the last game and we were unbalanced, this time we will have more than a good chance of winning. By the way with VG I am not worried about taking our chances, we take a lot of our chances and we are effective in front of goal since we don't create that much anyways.

After watching City v Palace last night I don't think we have anything to fear next Sunday, especially at home as well where we are putting in our better performances this term. It is a derby after all I know, but I have a feeling that this one is ours.

Trying not to get my expectations too high, but we should be winning this one with 3-4 goals We have a winning system, no reason to change it, so I'd go with Young. Di Maria for me is a unnecessary risk defensively. Hopefully Fellaini will have a better game against City.

He played well Young, most commentators passed comment on it, thought he was unlucky to come off but ADM needs some minutes behind him with City and Chelsea coming up.

Much as I like both Di Maria and Young, I would prefer young to start against City, and maybe the other can be introduced later just as was done last match against Villa! And the question of whether we will beat city, does not arise, it should be how we beat them! Man untd will beat city in sha Allah! Arsenal? Arsenal will floff somehow!

We will beat City! There is no compromise to that! With either of Di Maria or Young to give the game the pace on the wings! In sha Allah!

City are in awful form, the only thing I worry about is complacency. We should avoid that because if we lose this and Chelsea game, we are just 2 points ahead of Liverpool (assuming they will beat Newcastle and Hull).
If we beat City, we can be certain that we will finish 2nd or 3rd.
Same team and same formation.

Our remaining games are pretty tough apart from WBA at home and probably Hull away. We have Everton, Chelsea and Palace away and Arsenal, City at home.

We cannot take West Brom lightly too, Tony Pulis will park the bus and we have struggled against teams that looks to defend with 10 Men

Not wanting us to take WBA lightly but looking at the fixtures, that is our easiest game.

He hasn't shown us much lately. 2 assists in 55 minutes, not a bad magic at all. we don't create that much anyways. di Maria could help there, going by the last 55 minutes from him.
