I'm tempted to say Rojo to start instead of Blind, he'll help us to press them high and provide a more physical presence. Probably won't happen, and if not I'd have him next to Smalling.

Ahh, forgot about Rojo, he'll start. Whether it be at left back or centre back I don't know. I see the appeal of having him at left back to be honest but Blind played really well there vs Spurs and had a good understanding with Young.

Joe Allen - Liverpool's Cleverley. Yes please!
I'd only put Rojo instead of Jones and I don't know what to do with Mata, seems harsh to drop him after superb performance on Sunday. I'd rather introduce di Maria later when Liverpool's legs are a bit heavier but that's just me!

Same line-up, just put Rojo instead of Jones. Di Maria from the bench when their legs are tired.

Considering what's at stake for both teams, I think a draw is quite likely, or just a single goal in it at most.
Having said that, we showed what we are capable of last week, and there is no reason why we can't reproduce this at Anfield. Liverpool have been lucky with recent wins and aren't exactly setting the world alight with their football; I concede that We have been a little boring ourselves for the most part, but we are a more solid outfit that pool that's for sure.
Prediction 1- 4 to United ; )

I feel we hit the form at the right time and fairly confident that we can win this match, I would like to stick with the same team but Blind as left back still worries me, I would like to see Shaw/Rojo as LB but LVG will not drop Blind for sure. DDG
Valencia - Smalling - Jones/Rojo - Shaw/Rojo
Herrera Carrick
Mata - Fellaini - Young
Rooney

but LVG will not drop Blind for sure. I wouldn't either. Our best performer on that spot this season and against supposed pacey Spurs' wingers.

Being a quality full back isn't all about pace, he's an intelligent enough player to make up for his lack of pace.

Shaw for all his pace is the more risky player right now, at least if you have Blind there you'll know what to expect, plus his link up play with the midfield is better.

Mark Lawrenson's prediction:
As good as Manchester United were last week, Liverpool will feel that they owe them one after the way United won at Old Trafford in December.
That game was the turning point for Liverpool's season. That might sound strange because they were beaten 3-0 but it was the game where they found the formation, tempo and way of attacking that they have used to great effect since.
I really do think the pace that Liverpool have in midfield, the forward positions and wide areas will prove too much for United, whose football is so ponderous in comparison.
It is true that Louis van Gaal's side put on their best performance of the season last weekend with a 3-0 win against Tottenham. United were far more like their old selves.
But I look at the two sides and I see quite a big gap. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has found a system that works, and his team are flying.
A win for either side will not settle anything in the race for the top four, though.
I don't think anyone is going to cement their place for a while yet and all the teams involved will drop points.
Lawro's prediction: 2-0
No surprises there from the 70's German porno lookalike.
