I've seen Newcastle have signed Mbemba from Anderlecht. If he can replicate his form into the BPL, then it is a massive signing for Newcastle.
I am no scout, but from what I saw of him last season, especially in Europe, I thought he had great potential. The step to the BPL can be a tough one though, especially at his age, but if he adapts well I don't think he will stay long at Newcastle as the big clubs will start knocking at their door.

Couldn't believe it when I saw it this morning but I thought it was just a one off. Beggars belief that they're using it as a regular indicator of a players ability. Then again it beats having Merson giving his opinion.

Stoke distancing themselves from Tony Pulis, well, they're running the opposite direction actually overall, very good signings though. Wonder if they go in for Lucas Silva also (mind you he will cost 14 mill) |

City as bad at selling as we are. With Jovetic to Inter on loan and now them selling Dzeko, i don't like their stock up front, Bony is good but they do need at least one more quality striker.

Anyone else a little underwhelmed by the transfer activity this summer?
Given the money from TV deals and such, the papers bigging it up so far there's not been much overseas talent joining the leagues top clubs apart from our new lads. Are the top talents just not available or not enough top talent around it's similar elsewhere in Europe as well there hasn't been many big moves either. I guess it's good for us in terms of the title race but I think English clubs could once again struggle to make an impact in the CL.
The middle and lower clubs have been investing though, interested to see how the Ayew's and Clasie get on in particular. Stoke have done some good business as well.
