That's what i have been stressing all this while. The people in charge of selling and buying our players aren't doing a good job. We have been paying too much for players and selling them later below the market value. F the salary reason, etc... players have a price as well...not just simply dumping them regardless of the price being offered.

going the other way and saying its great for West Brom. 3 million for a striker who should get 10 goals a season still. thats a hell of a deal. His salary can't be that high also

its west brom and its a tony pulis side, if west brom is a direct rival by january for liverpool rodgers will be out of the job

ucas Silva is expected to leave Real Madrid before the close of the summer transfer window, reports Sport.

Silva, who joined Real Madrid from Cruzeiro in a €14m deal in January, has not impressed since his move. He managed only three starts under Carlo Ancelotti last term and he has failed to convince the Italian’s replacement Rafa Benitez in pre-season this summer.

In addition, Madrid’s three non-EU berths this season are likely to be occupied by James Rodriguez, Danilo and Casemiro, so the Real feel Silva’s departure is imminent.

They intend to loan him out, with Sport also reporting that no clubs have expressed an interest in signing the midfielder permanently.

anyway he would be a good signing, not sure if he'd be good for us since he would be a bench player at best, but he would be a good signing for a number of teams (especially lower down in the prem)

Newcastle United are set for further talks with Queens Park Rangers this week over Charlie Austin, the Newcastle Chronicle are reporting.

Austin is said to be open to the move and neither the prospect of moving north or agreeing personal terms are an issue for the striker.

Steve McClaren has made it clear to the Newcastle board that Austin is the man he wants to boost his attacking options.

Two years after joining the north London club for £26m, the striker is on his way back to Spain and is said to have chosen Villarreal as his destination.

Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign unsettled Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi, reports Superdeporte.

Otamendi’s agent Eugenio Lopez revealed back in May that the Argentina international wants out of the Mestalla, but the player returned to club duty earlier this week with his future still unresolved.

Lopez and super-agent Jorge Mendes have been working to try to find a new club for the 27-year-old, and they may be boosted by the fact that Bayern are now interested in the defender.

According to Superdeporte, Bayern officials have only contacted Otamendi’s representative, not Valencia.

Manchester United, Manchester City, PSG and Chelsea have also shown their interest in Otamendi in recent weeks.
