Pivotal fixture as we chase a top 4 spot- now this is a game against one of our direct rivals so we must get a result here before the Anfield game. Come on!

My dad's in New York next weekend and I'm taking a mate who prides himself on seeing United win every time he's been to Old Trafford.
This one's already in the bag.

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2987742/Manchester-United-haven-t-beaten-half-Premier-League-December.htmlThat will have to change over the coming weeks. Sunday is massive now in more ways than 1. The points aside but also the reaction of everyone to last night. I'd take a win of any sort tbh. It's imperative we do because it means we don't necessarily have the pressure of going to Anfield on the 22nd and probably having to win. That's what we'll have to do if we drop points against Spurs. Lot of ifs and buts, though surely it's a must win against Spurs just to get back on track and start off this league run in the best possible fashion. I'd nearly go as far as to say that Sunday's performance but more importantly the result could make or break us in terms of the top 4 because we're the only side up there who aren't playing well which is why winning is all that matters now.

I'm more confident about this game than the Arsenal and 'pool games. I think we can get something out of all three but we need to cut the dumbass mistakes and defend in numbers and work harder than any of the other sides (like they really want it). Time to show some belief and balls.

Spurs have been conceding goals for fun lately but sadly I don't see us keeping Kane & Co out at the other end. We'll have to be on form in the final 3rd and be a bit more clinical in front of goal. They're going to give up chances if their last few games is anything to go by.
Just that last night's result wasn't ideal preparation for us which is why the reaction has to be positive. Spurs will come flying out of the traps so we gotta be ready from minute 1

What happens with Di maria now, does he miss this match?
Keep Kane and Eriksen quiet and you keep Spuds quiet, at home I'm expecting a win as long as we cut out he mistakes.
De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Di Maria/Januzaj, Rooney, Young.

It's usually immediate across all competitions. So he's out for three matches I would have thought, they don't like you physically manhandling officiating staff.

Two yellows is one game, 3 for a straight red.

yeah but getting hold of the ref physically could easily be a three match job looked at by the fa, if they've accepted the referee's verdict of two yellows then great, he's lucky I guess.
Still say it was a bullshit sending off by yester-years standards.

Not a good balance in the middle, but Young and Valencia would have a special tasks. Both can run their balls out, no problemo.
