Well he said the league last week. We're 5 points off 4th and showing no signs of consistency whatsoever. No evidence from this season that we are capable of going on a run of games which we will need to do to secure at least that fourth spot

And as for any talk of keeping van Gaal, if he knows he's gone at the end of the season why would he even try a leg for getting us the top four (minimum). If anything it will make him even more stubborn

Doesn't make for great reading no matter how you dress it up.
No idea how we are going to turn it around. For the first time I'm seriously starting to worry about a top 4 finish. Best we can hope for is Leicester to fall away and that we manage to stave off the rest below us right now.
At that point in November when we were also about to exit the champions league, the league was the absolute minimum or at least compete for it. Now I honestly feel we've a fight on our hands for a top 4 finish.

Results like this make our cock ups over the last month seem all the more tragic. If Wenger decides to take the cheque book out in January see no reason why they can't go all the way.
The way this season is going, whoever is the least shit will probably go onto win it. If Leicester can keep everyone fit and play the way they are playing they could probably win it. They seem to have all the answers so far anyway
