Ok so dug out the win.
Grealish bit; Meh. Ran their show and they hadn't much to live off
Set pieces; Villa dangerous from them and were never out of the game despite our dominance. Ole say at full time he was nervy last 10. They didn't boss but we didn't put them away either. Bailly last ditch defending showed it
Passing in behind and around them was good we moved them out of position few bad choices and poor efforts from distance but all in all good going forward.
They had no counter attack for some strange reason and built out from the back which made is less of a challenge for us instead of the long ball which would cause us more problem. So out from Grealish no real counter threat from them just 1 or 2 lapses at the back which we need to cut out
So hard fought victory and these are the sort in the olden time we'd appreciate if we had a bit of a pedigree and consistency behind. That remains the challenge
Game in hand with Burnley up next in the league followed by Liverpool at Anfield. I'd be happy with 4 out of 6.

Ole's main points before the game
grealish we need to watch; check. they have 4 players dangerous on the counter; check. we need to be clever with passing to find the space; check. we need to not give away stupid set pieces because they can be dangerous; check
Lets see who does and who doesnt follow up on it

A tougher version of Leeds will do me. We expected it to be a close one too. But we've played all our excuses now.
Opponent sits back we're sh1t and they frustrate, opponents play attack us we struggle to defend. We need to start finding the formula or else every game becomes an unknown (yeah nobody has a crystal ball) but you know what i mean

Are Villa an attacking team??? I hope they are and that it will leave the space in behind that we love. Either way in for another tough evening at home

more than worthy of a match thread post and so not knee jerk. But there goal just came from our pompous passing we do so much over and back in our own third. Dont know what they think, like they're not going to pass from one end to the other. As well launching it as doing that.

Right, sure we will have to herald this then as a great result 0-0 in the derby. Stops any further damages and Ole stays in job if in doubt
Funny part is this is exactly the result and performance we needed midweek. Can't fathom us at the moment sorry

Rio nailing it in his opinion of us tonight. "Need to ruffle feathers" :O big ask Rio he's knows the set piece game and risk of counter attack. Anyway even our attack with all that was forward in that attack of ours for the BA goal we hardly looked menacing

Right so emotion left out of this. We make mistakes we shouldnt be making and get punished in defence (not for the first time). In attack we have lots of the ball and all the usual but cant create much. Usually you look at a team and they have at least one of the 2 going as strength
What are we waiting on to fall into place then or do we have a plan to put it together

Got to say Leicester just prove tonight (so far anyway) that intensity and putting some of the fear factor in opposition backlines doesn't take a whole pile in terms of pure "quality". Compared to whatever's going on at United. 2-0 there you are
