Do people think we'll play with 2 holding CMs in Schneiderlin, piggy/Carrick or with 1? Schneiderlin for me should own that position with Herrera and piggy playing slightly in front. If piggy doesn't play then Carrick should be the holding CM with Herrera and Schneiderlin slightly in front. Wouldn't like to see piggy as a holding player. There's no doubting his talent but I think he has a lot more to offer in an attacking sense than defensive, especially in the PL. I think we might see 2 holding midfielders in Carrick/Bastian and Schneiderlin with Herrera in front against tougher opposition, but I agree one of Schneiderlin/Carrick should be enough in a mid table and lower scenario |

The manager said during pre-season that he was still looking at buying players in two specific positions. Asked if that was still the case, he replied: “Yes, because I have said that we need players with speed and creativity – Di Maria is a player like that and now he is gone, so we need that type of player.
“Of course we have problems still with the goalkeeper, so we need maybe two more players.”
