Need to win this, think we'll do it.
I'd like to see Gomes, Chong and Greenwood feature for more than 10 minute cameos as well. Particularly Gomes and Greenwood.

Would of liked to have seen Garner, I think he's more ready than Chong or Gomes. Pogba, McT, Garner would be well worth a shout. Watched Palace the other day and they were shite. Hardly any attacking threat. Its these sort of games were Ole can afford to mix it up a bit, especially with now having a much stronger back 4.

Unfortunately Matic will play before Garner gets a league start, think he's destined for cup starts. It's the final third we're desperate for creativity, I wouldn't put Gomes on from the start, wouldn't hesitate with Mason tho.

Palace have been pretty toothless and Zaha seems to be sulking a bit so with us looking good it should be a routine win.
Garners been with the u23’s so is probably the furthest away, hopefully Gomes makes the bench for this one but we might be waiting until the cups. I can’t see many, if any changes as nobody has been really poor over the two games. Wrap it up early doors and get the kids on.
Edit: Garner and Chong started tonight for u23’s

Garner scored a cracker, supplied by Chong. Chong scored two, one was a peach as well, apparently. They're knockin' loudly, which is good.

Lingard must be a beast in training because whoever the manager he seems to be almost first choice come match day. Much rather give Fred a chance and letting Pogba be more creative playing a little more advanced. Fred is prone to the odd brain fart but how is he supposed to get used to the PL if he hardly ever plays bar injuries to other players. Watch Lingard score his one a season screamer today

Not our day, utter stupidity.
Great strike from James became meaningless.

The more positive among us will we had a lot more of the ball, we missed a penalty, palace only had 2 chances, we didn't deserve to lose and while it may be true it's becoming a recurring event which makes it more than coincidence. Without wanting to make Pogba the brexit of our team (giving him the blame for everything) I'm convinced if Rashford had of took the penalty against Wolves we'd be 4 points better off. Todays penalty put a lot more pressure on him after the events the other day. It's still no excuse to lose at home to palace though but I feel for Ole. The club not signing experienced players when there were a few available has made his job almost impossible. We have zero creativity and that's including Pogba on the pitch the last few matches. I really want De Gea to sign his new deal but if he doesn't do it soon then he can feck off because he really does have his head in the clouds. Only one to come out of the game with any credit was once again James, even AWB was surprisingly exposed a few times today. Rashford did try but he doesn't have a footballing brain needed to make the most of his other attributes. Said it more than once but Lindelof doesn't look at all comfortable playing RCB. Now reaching the stage with him where I'd almost prefer to see Smalling play there. Least said about Martial and Lingard the better.

On a side note. What's the point of crossing the ball so many times into the box when we don't have a number 9?

Two moments of ineptitude defensively, dominant on the ball but a lack of cutting edge in the final third has cost us. The young front three struggled for space and couldn’t breakthrough, Lingard not creative enough and Pogba too deep. You just knew with the whole penalty debacle Rashford would miss, well struck but still a miss.
Lindelof back to the melting man, needs to have a look at himself if he wants to be Maguire’s partner long term. The Pogba experiment needs to end, he’s too careless in possession to play in a two and we need his influence further up the pitch.
James had a good game, lovely goal and once again booked by a wanker referee for being wiped out. VAR also shit.
Football eh.

100 % agree on the penalty mind games we’ve seen played out over the last week and I also believe that Rashford not taking the peno at Wolves cost us 5 points. You have to wonder how much better off we could be without Pogba in the long run. Our youngsters probably pay too much respect to his World Cup winner status which is more than he deserves. In a red shirt he goes missing in action and at his worst becomes so sloppy and costs us. Remember PSG away without him ???
Dan James may not be the finished product but I’d take his never die attitude and commitment all day long ..... just wish that this was the virus they could all catch.
Long season ahead for sure but why not bite the bullet and cash in on Pogba now before he loses value ..... Us fans would have to be patient as we blood in our young squad and maybe (please Ed feckwood) we could invest wisely over the next couple of windows to continue to build the right mix of players and progress as a team.
Work in progress is becoming business as usual for Utd and the fans, so why not see the storm out fully to rebuild and truly get back on track We could avoid all the compromises made to keep a want away player semi-happy and wasting precious time in the process.
