Decent last 20 minutes of the first half but other than that same old, same old. If Southgate persists with Rooney and Henderson then not much is going to change. Decent game from Lingard and Rashford didn't look out of place when he came on.

England's 25-man squad to face Scotland and Spain:
Forster (Southampton), Hart (Torino), Heaton (Burnley); Bertrand (Southampton), Cahill (Chelsea), Clyne (Liverpool), Jagielka (Everton), Keane (Burnley), Rose (Tottenham), Stones (Man City), Walker (Tottenham); Dier (Tottenham), Drinkwater (Leicester), Henderson (Liverpool), Wilshere (Bournemouth), Lallana (Liverpool), Lingard (Man Utd), Rooney (Man Utd), Sterling (Man City), Townsend (Crystal Palace); Walcott (Arsenal), Kane (Tottenham), Rashford (Man Utd), Sturridge (Liverpool), Vardy (Leicester)
Be interesting to see who plays upfront, Kane just coming back from injury, Rooney not really playing there, Rashford hasn't been playing there and Vardy/Studge are out of form/favour at their clubs plus aren't scoring either.

Southgate has called up Forster and Delph...
"He was very important for a period under [former manager] Roy Hodgson and he has had injury issues," said the former Middlesbrough manager.
In what fecking world?
"He has forced himself back into the Manchester City side and played well. We have a situation in midfield where we need more competition and more alternative. He can provide that."
He's played 20 minutes in the PL ffs
So much for Southgate only selecting players who play, what a tool.

Young called up but Smalling dropped.
Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Stoke City), Joe Hart (West Ham - loan from Manchester City), Jordan Pickford (Everton)
Defenders: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Joe Gomez (Liverpool), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Harry Maguire (Leicester), Danny Rose (Tottenham), John Stones (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier (Tottenham), Kyle Walker (Manchester City)
Midfielders: Dele Alli (Tottenham), Fabian Delph (Manchester City), Eric Dier (Tottenham), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Jesse Lingard (Manchester United), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Crystal Palace - loan from Chelsea), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Harry Winks (Tottenham), Ashley Young (Manchester United)
Forwards: Tammy Abraham (Swansea - loan from Chelsea), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Jamie Vardy (Leicester) Here’s what Southgate has had to say.
"I have huge respect for Chris. He is a player playing at a big club," Southgate said.
"We want to play in a certain way and the players I have brought in I want to see using the ball from the back and building it up in a certain way."
"Young's performances warrant a recall," he added. "We want to play with wing-backs - I think it's a role he can perform, left or right, very well. He's played very well for Manchester United.
"Generally speaking, we want to look at younger players, and develop the team, but I've always said if a more senior player is playing well and warrants the call-up, we should include them."
What is with this ball playing centreback nonsense? They all go fecking sideways regardless, is it just me who likes my defenders being able to defend. Stupid decision.
But well done Youngy.
