Nearly put this in the LOL Thread Luis Suarez: I couldn't have carried on playing if I'd slipped up like Steven Gerrard did for Liverpool against Chelsea Steven Gerrard gifted Demba Ba a goal at the back end of last season That paved the way for Liverpool to surrender the title to Manchester City Luis Suarez says he could not have carried on playing if it were him Liverpool play Chelsea for the first time since the incident on Saturday Luis Suarez has opened up about the Steven Gerrard slip that halted Liverpool's Premier League momentum and went a long way to depriving them of their first league title in 24 years. Liverpool lost 2-0 to Chelsea in their third-to-last game of the 2013/14 season, and Gerrard's error to gift Demba Ba's goal loosened their grip on the title. The Reds then let a three-goal lead slip at Crystal Palace, before a win against Newcastle on the last day of the season; by then though, the title had gone to Manchester City. Suarez, in his new autobiography released on Thursday, has revealed his thoughts on that title-changing moment at Anfield. ............( didn't even know he could write)'If I had been in Stevie's shoes, I don't know if I would have been able to carry on playing. Emotionally, it must have been very, very hard. 'In the previous weeks, so much had been said about him, the expectation had built so much, the talk had been about him leading Liverpool, his club, to a first title in over 20 years, on the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, in which his cousin had died, and then that happens. 'The captain, the former youth-teamer, the one-club man, a Scouser born and bred, and he was the unlucky one to make a crucial mistake.......... ( whereas me well I don't make mistakes I only give racial abuse and bite people on a pitch) I'm convinced that if Chelsea had not scored like that, they would not have scored at all. And once you are a goal down against them, it's virtually impossible.' www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2822841/Luis-Suarez-couldn-t-carried-playing-d-slipped-like-Steven-Gerrard-did-Liverpool-against-Chelsea.html#ixzz3II3dQACMChoice Comments: Nasty little man. How could Dracula continue to play after biting so many people on tv? Gerard has always defended him and been nice to him. Would be interesting to see what he thinks of his bans and how they have affected them. He can hardly string a sentence together, how can he possibly have written a book! Stevie G didn't cost us the title,Carragher's retirement did ! 0 goals in your first 180 mins for Barca? SUAREZ ONLY SAID IT TO ENCOURAGE THE REDS AGAINST CHELSEA. EVEN CHELSEA'S MANAGER CAN'T HEAR THEIR SUPPORTERS. .... YNWA.

He talks like he moved on the other side of the world. Glad he's feeling good at Arsenal. As long as he doesn't score against us we can still be friends

Have to feel sorry for poor Ryan Taylor, just back after months out and stretchered off again. Seemingly it's not as bad as first feared, but how unlucky to get injured again straight away.....

Can't even get in Palace's starting lineup but yeah he's better than a load of players from our team. Alright Neil.

Seems like he's trying to boost the confidence of a player that's terribly short on it.

The front four who played against Palace was Di Maria, Januzaj, Rooney and van Persie.
Slot yourself in there, Wilf. It was clear as day last season that he wasn't ready for United, I hope he can turn it around but saying he's better than our current options is pure bollocks.
