Onto the next match.. with an even earlier kick off time than last weekend De Gea Valencia - Bailly - Smalling - Shaw Fellaini - Pogba Rashford - Rooney - Martial Ibra
Not sure who will start on the right with nobody really in top form. Hopefully we take the game to them.

Lets get back to winning ways. Despite the last 2 defeats we've still started the (league) season pretty solidly. I'd like to see us stick with the 4-3-3 tweaking the centre of midfield. I'd go with this lineup (looking at it realistically anyway): DDG
Tony V Bailly Smalling Shaw
Carrick
Pogba Fellaini (prefer Herrera though)
Rooney Zlatan Rashford In an ideal world I'd name a side without Rooney but we all know he's certain to come back into the side, so stick him out on the right. Fellaini will probably come back into the side but I'd much prefer to see Herrera keep his place. Having said that I think Fellaini's best performances for us came when he played LCM. Really think it's time for Carrick to come into the side, we need his passing and control in the midfield, I think it will enable the guys playing just in front to make use of the best of their abilities. Martial has started the season a little below par so I'd go with Marcus coming in from the left.

Honestly the moment you take off Rooney it's immediately a better side. And it's not like he's been bad so far, but trying to accomodate him changes the entire dynamics

The case against him him gets bigger by the day and no doubting he slows us down in most ways but he still has a physical presence for the likes of Watford, and is still capable of doing cutting edge things. I don't think he should be a starting cert any more though.
I'd have the same side except Martial left, Rashford right as a starter.

Just to piss on your parade a little Dave it's getting easier each week to predict the team. Mou is getting as predictable as Van Gone. (finger)

Jose needs to make big calls after this match. Fellaini has played well in the first 3 odd games and now he is back to being shit.
Rooney, definitely needs to be dropped, he is terrible wherever he plays. Don't know what happened to Smalling, he doesn't look right this season, same with Martial but I am sure he will be back once he gets a goal or two.
Shaw and Rashford has done well, all other players are either ordinary or terrible.

Dont think Jose has the balls to drop Rooney. Think we are getting the washed up version of Jose. Its probably the easiest decision he can take as United manager. He's not brought much new to the table that we didnt have under the last regime. Cant defend cant attack. Cant rely on a 34 year old striker to do everything for us

Chop and change managers, chop and change players same results.. Back to the drawing board for Mourinho with some big decisions ahead for the next match. We cannot continue with Fellaini, Pogba and Rooney, not one of them wants to or can control a game. Carrick on ice, Basti frozen its time to thaw them out

Egos have become a big problem at United that last few years. Nothing else. Too many getting protected and the fake PR face(s) to go with. Here they all are post match, we will do this we will do that which we didnt do last games. Well fuck it youze havent done it for the last 2 games when you said you would. Walked off the park today

Glad I was late back and missed it, caught some of it on the radio. Change time indeed, get the fucker mixed up and create some sparks.

I'm not going to stick the knife into Pogba yet. It's hard to be at the top of your game with shite like Fellaini and Rooney around you and with my dead dog being faster than Ibra it's hard to play the ball into spaces. Everything is the same pace as last season. With the players we have we should be ripping teams apart, not playing the ball around with no penetration. It surprises me that Martial is seen as a top player. Yes he had some sublime moments last season but on the whole he's been pretty wank. I'm not blaming him. Last season the whole world was put on his shoulders and the weight looks like it's still there. Maybe wouldn't be a bad idea to give him a month off and see if he can come back as the player we all know he can be. I have to say that Mou has surprised me and he looks like he's as useless as Van Gone. There's no plan B. It's a case of this is the way I want you to play and I don't care if we have the players to do it. We have the players to play different formations and if he doesn't start to mix it up soon then we're going to have the same problems as the last 3 seasons.

I'm finally succumbing to the Rooney to be dropped bandwagon he's holding the whole operation back at the moment. Outplayed by Watford is unacceptable when we have more suitable people not playing. I'm grateful for everything hes done but...

Well that was painful to watch to say the least ...................
Maybe it's a good cold shower to be having at this point in the season rather than later ...............even if it hurts.
Losing 3 games on the trot - it sucks for all of us and proves there's a lot more grafting to be done - maybe less prima donna behaviour, more work ethic and get a proper grip on our set-up, roles on the pitch - the list goes on. Do we have a leader in the side ? Could that man be Schweinsteiger ? After watching three defeats with multiple changes - we haven't found the recipe just yet.
Above all José has to quit singling out individual mistakes - we win and we lose as a team - coach included.
The gaff between Smalling and DDG said everything about communication yesterday, the team looked like strangers at times and so little movement off the ball it's unreal.
Winning the first 4 games, including the Community Shield, maybe got expectations up especially when we're so used to traditionally slow starts at United. Talk of winning the title should now be off the table with another 3 fixtures in the coming 8 days getting back to winning ways is all we can ask for - a reality check indeed
The players need a mind coach more than anything - where is their belief, confidence and more importantly PRIDE. The fight back against Hull proves they've got it in them but nowt of that yesterday.
We've been patient for three seasons and Mou has still less than 3 months under his belt - it's unrealistic to think that it would click in perfectly overnight. The frustration we feel is not from today alone it's been a 3 year building process - hopefully the appropriate reactions on the pitch will follow.
