Pahang have signed a youth player from Perth Glory, Matthew Davies. have you heard of him before, Spens? he's also half Aussie and half Malaysian. There's talks he might be drafted into the Malaysian U-23 sea Games squad. He will be the 3rd Eurasian to play for Malaysia if he does so after Junior Eldstal and Brendan Gan. yeah i heard of him, perth did it in a desperate attempt to get under the cap. Interesting though that he may be drafted into the squad. I'd say it would be worth it for him, especially if he has signed over there now and has malaysian ancestry (he wouldn't be a turnocoat either, don't think the australian national team has had interest in him so if he plays really well its our loss)

he is 20 years old also and has played for the Australian Institute of Sport (if you get put into their program, you can be assured you are good)
hopefully the those 3 can make it big and help malaysian football get to where it should be (at the very least, qualifying for the asian cup consistently)

Junior is doing alright at JDT.pretty ordinary though. he was miles better when he first burst onto the scene. Brendan has regressed imo. Could be the injuries. He hasn't played for the national side after the disastrous Asian games outing. Hopefully Davies will be better than them.

Under Zainal Abidin Hassan's tutelage, I think he can develop to become a better player.

In other news, malaysia have dropped to their lowest ranking ever on the FIFA ranking list at world number 163. Bhutan who was at the bottom of the list have also overtaken Malaysia. Other countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan , Maldives and Timor Leste are also above Malaysia at the moment.
Well done FAM! great job Tengku mahkota Pahang. "We are progressing and have progressed over the past few years"... that's what he mentioned earlier this year. bunch of cretins this lot.

I am likewise frustrated with the constantly inapt FAS. I believe we're just above Malaysia at 162. They also are full of all talk and no action, IMO. Really disappointing for me to see.

wonder what the FFA want from them?
i would imagine
- encourage NZF to apply to become an full AFC member - move out of the cake tin (westpac stadium) - get a much better TV deal (the skytv deal is a joke)
if we need 3 new teams, canberra, wollongong (hopefully that is the sydney application) and either one of ipswich (probably the brisbane application, i would hope) or North Queensland (this time with a roofed stadium)

Scott Jamison, Chris Harold and Josh Risdon pretty please. Maybe even take on Keough if we don't sign Kaulderovic for next season, i think some of the teams like a canberra team need to look at signing him. I'd also be looking at Vuka as the new keeper, city going to be going after players also. i'd imagine vuka would be high priority since Redmayne nor Telaphi are starting quality in the league.
Hersi maybe pushing it but he could land at a smaller team as a marquee (i.e. newcastle) Sidnei would be a great player for a lot of teams (City, Wanderers, Phoenix maybe)
Marinkovic also will be looked at
as for the likes of Thwaite, Dino etc. they've been that good they will land a new spot (wanderers need defenders, as does adelaide)

Adelaide United 2-3 Brisbane Roar
no one wants the premiership, also probably one of the worst own goals by eugene galekovic. Sydney FC and Victory are level on points, with the melbourne ahead on goal difference, adelaide are a point behind and the nix 2 points with them playing tomorrow

Central Coast Mariners 1-0 Western Sydney Wanderers
in a battle of two of the worst teams in the league, mariners win and wanderers lose in, well, not a great match. must be said, there was pyro.

i have to agree. but i would bring it to 3+1 and still have the domestic marquee and youth marquee in place, and if they want to bring any aussie players as a marquee instead of a foreign player, they can be exempt (so it would be basically any 4 players outside the cap, and you can have up to 4 foreign players)
victory, city and sydney may pull away a bit but we need some to increase quality somehow (well, with our current cheapskate owners they will), i would think Adelaide could do very well with this also. Mariners will whinge but they're going to be rubbish until charlesworth is gone.
