Brisbane Roar 1-2 Wellington Phoenix (match called off with the nix getting the points)
absolute bullshit, fair enough to calling off the match, but the nix should never have been credited the points. Also the pitch was shit, whoever is the groundsmen should be fired. was a disgrace. this effectively killed of our season also which makes it that much worse. only the FFA would do this, first the fact that newcastle nearly got screwed by a shit offside call, then this. Mind you we were pretty terrible, i would get rid of Polenz, Petratos (selfish prick passed up on some good passing opportunities, obvious ones too and took ridiculous shots), Kaluderevic also shouldn't be signed past this season, Corey Brown needs to either be loaned or sold or be benched, just anywhere that isn't starting. Donachie and Devere seems like a decent CB pairing, but i would leave Devere off starting till he is fully fit (he clearly ain't) i would also get Broich under the cap and get him on a much cheaper deal now (200k a year or there abouts). oh and a halfway competent manager (Gombau to resurrect Roarcelona would be nice)
Clut is great though as well as most of our youth, that is one thing i am happy about
so for the new season next year, this is what we need:
Starters: RB, LB, RW, CF, DM
then blood the youth in.
Also to the den, get some new, non-cringe worthy chants, also seeing the facebook page, it seems you guys are more concerned with where you're going to drink then the actual club or being an active support section (only active support that comes close to us in terms of crappiness in the league is central coast)

apparently Novillo is on a contract only till the end of the season (injury replacement) think he will do well in the a-league at only 23 years of age, should honestly sign a long term deal (i know he would be perfect for the roar, city would be wise to keep him also)
this is a list of contracts expiring:
Rukyavysta has been underwhelming but he would be a good signing for any club, he is quality. could see him returning home and playing for the glory, again the roar and city both could move in for him. i would like to see adelaide bring him in though, if he plays anything like vidosic he would be an international there.
Khalifah has been gathering interest from everyone. think he gets a marquee deal somewhere (maybe city?)

If i where the roar, Novillo and Rukavysta would be top of the list, sign both of them, rukavysta and novillo on each wing and broich in the 10 role (bit older, will hold well there) and maybe move McKay into CM to help Brattan defensively (he needs it, he isn't holding down DM at all well by himself). would just need a striker and new full backs afterwards (or at least one, have no paitence for Polenz if he's going to continue being shit)
also think Wielaert, Jaliens and Montano could be candidates for south east asia. Montano hasn't been bad, but after this newcastle experience surely he wants out of australia. Jaliens may not get another deal unless central coast or some team wants him on the cheap (could stay at city to be fair, but i imagine they will go through a huge overhaul in the offseason)
also on Khalifah:
Wanderers and City are in for him. Either could sign him as marquee. and he wants double also (not sure if its worth it but we'll wait and see)

Brisbane Roar 1-4 Western Sydney Wanderers
This is worthy of one of those hitler rant videos (you know the one where people put whatever random subtitles whilst hitler rants, those ones) one of the worst days in the clubs history
if our season wasn't over on sunday night, it sure as hell is now. should just focus on getting to the next round of the ACL. oh and getting half a new squad and that primera liga manager. Pretty sure we need that meeting, now, this is a fucking disaster campaign, more so off the pitch as they have successfully alienated their fanbase (quiet thoroughly) to sydney fc levels from last year, shame the den are completely useless and couldn't organise anything other then a pub crawl. Dobson and Ken Stead are the reason this shit started with the fans anyway when they sacked mulvey via the media basically
#Dobsonout #Steadout
oh and someone in the city of brisbane needs to find the pitch curator and beat him with a cricket bat. how the hell can you allow the pitch to be that bad. For Fuck sake get Perry Park ready, and fast. at least for 2016/17 (can be done, thats like over 20 months till then) get council in on it, if they can pay for an upgrade of red hill (considering how incompetent the broncos are, i think the incompetence is contagious) then they can pay for an upgrade of Perry park.
Crowd: 6148 (and i feel sorry for every one of those from brisbane who even bothered to come for that, its different if everyone played with some heart, but when you get useless twats like petratos parading around and play without any heart, then of course you won't go anywhere)

Lolger speaks:
Meh fair enough, though literally none of our youth would have made it with Holger at the helm, we would of probably have been eliminated by china in the quarters

What??? wait Boateng is technical director? seems like a 'promotion' (i.e. sacking him without firing him, hoping him to leave himself)

yea. he signed a 3 year contract last summer as the Head Coach. I think it would have been costly firing him...hence the 'promotion'

Germany 2-2 Australia
Drew the match in Kaiserslauten that we could have won (leckie just needs to find a finishing touch and he's going to be a star, shame he's 25 though, so it may be a bit hard now). Troisi scored again so Holger showing how out of touch he is. We could very well have won this match, we were leading till the 80th minute, both teams missing stars (we were missing Cahill, they where missing Neuer) but Germany still had a fair few of their world class players on. We were freaking good despite that. Hopefully the top clubs from europe were scouting and seeing what this current batch of aussies can do. Very good game from us

Melbourne Victory 2-1 Central Coast Mariners
Victory come from behind to win, bit lucky in all fairness. Mariners were actually not that bad. That being said, the showing of true champions is when you can play badly and still pick up the 3 points.
Crowd: 18 205 (terrible, anything short of 20k for the victory is catostrophic at home really, even if it is the mariners)

Joel Chianese to Sabah (great signing)
issues though with registration (as under FIFA rulings, you're only allowed to sign for 3 clubs per season) though as his deal to Auckland City didn't go through, i can't see this being an issue.
One of these teams should pick up Adrian Zahra and Mitch Mallia. especially Zahra, very unlucky to not be playing A-League.
Even a guy like Jake Baker-Daish would be worth a shot for a malaysian team.

Magic Mike takes over at Sabah one of our best managers ever at the roar. had no business being fired. he will do well, just leave recruiting to someone else and its all good who is this mike? Mike Mulvey. Former Brisbane Roar manager (and the guy who got us the double last season) he was probably one of the best managers in the a-league. Only thing is he's terrible and recruiting and can play favorites at times (ok only with Liam Miller who was playing crap). great man manager and tactically quiet sound and won't take any shit from lazy players (we saw this when he sold one of our best players, but it was a good move for us, since he gave Brattan more playing time) He also is quiet good with youth players and is a good identifier of talent. He's a good all rounded manager who i am certain should do very well, if he has his heart in it he will probably have big ideas for football in Sabah also.
