Newcastle Jets 0-0 Central Coast Mariners
Crowd: 7991 (well neither of these clubs have any hope anymore, the sooner the season ends for both, the better)
Western Sydney Wanderers 3-4 Sydney FC
Sydney nearly mess this up but get through at the end in one of the best matches this season
Crowd: 19 482 (packed house for the derby as expected)

Perth Glory 2-2 Brisbane Roar
Ben Williams is still a useless cunt who should go back to clown college. worst ref in the world, someone should smash his face in, honestly he's so up himself he needs it. In saying that its still a foul, corey brown needs to be dropped and maybe released, he cannot defend at all, and for a left back that is extruciating. its been too damn long this club hasn't gotten a quality lb, buy one in the offseason.
Also Donachie + Devere partnership next season please. can get rid of north to clear some cap to get the left back if need be (and a striker who can score some goals)

bit late but
Western Sydney Wanderers 2-3 Guangzhou Evergrande Urawa Red Diamonds 0-1 Brisbane Roar
i can't believe we beat Urawa, i really can't. we scraped through but Devere was immense. the japanese teams haven't been playing well at all in the champions league this season
as for the wanderers, they where a bit unlucky but Goulart is a beast. he should be playing in europe in a top league. not in the CSL, he would be a good player at most mid-top level clubs

Newcastle Jets 0-1 Sydney FC
Crowd: 8783 (amazing that nearly 9k go to watch the crap newcastle put on the pitch)
Melbourne Victory 1-1 Perth Glory
Controversial goal sealed the deal there by the Glory, Glory go top, Victory down to 4th
Crowd: 22 525 (standard victory crowd)
Wellington Phoenix 2-0 Adelaide United
United down to 5th and have been on a terrible run (if radelaide are stupid enough to fire gombwow, would happily take him at the roar)
Crowd: 7819 (Better then most at the phoenix games)
Central Coast Mariners 1-0 Melbourne City
mariners get a win after sacking moss on friday
Crowd: 6079 (thats bad, i thought with moss gone it would go up, maybe will take a few weeks)
Brisbane Roar 1-0 Western Sydney Wanderers
back up into the top 6 (mercifully)
Crowd: 12 095 (ok thats awful for a grand final replay)

Western Syndey Wanderers 0-3 Melbourne Victory
aaaaand are regular programming commences. in all fairness to the wanderers, they had the majority of the possession and shots where even, just that Victory where far more effective I actually think the victory need someone better than muscat though. he's a good assistant, for the squad they have (best in the league with sydney) tney should be topping it, think they've actually underperformed a bit. mind you its far from sackable but would expect a bit more, postecoglu would have had them winning the league, as would arnie

also the roar have been linked to aurelio 'pissant town' vidmar
he's not bad but we have to do better then that. Rather then going for the former manager of Adelaide United, i rather go for the current one (Gombwow)
- He will bring in the 'philosophy' that got Mulvey fired for not playing (yet thisjen is looking more like sam allardyce every week in terms of how his teams play) - He has the passion and is willing to stay for a long term project - He knows what players to bring in (lets be honest, none of his foreign recruits have been bad at all) - let him bring in his own staff if he wants, they'll know what he wants
then a left back is essential, Steffanuto should have been replaced 2 years ago and Corey Brown cannot defend. we need a traditional left back or at least one that is hard working and has that pace to get back and defend.
A center forward then is a must, i mean one who can actually score (10+ a season, something akin to a Andy Keogh, let Gombau use his scouting network to get ourselves a skillful spaniard/argentinian forward)
then a winger who can compliment the aging Broich (again, gombau can get us a guy) speaking of broich, maybe move him under the cap
i'd also say a Central mid who can compliment Brattan, I would be tempted to let Matty McKay go, he's good but not aussie marquee good anymore, if we could somehow steal Malik or try bring back Vidosic (now that his father, the brains is back in the fold)since he isn't getting time at a relegated threatened Sion team. I would even try a sneaky bid for Rogic so we can revive his career (as a McKay replacement, if we could get Brattan, Lustica and Rogic in midfield, we could have the best midfield in the competition again)
Just hopefully not a recycled coach or someone terrible (unless they're KNVBB and actually can get us playing some good, winning football, no one dutch please)

Perth Glory 1-2 Wellington Phoenix
the distance derby ends with the nix winning and going top of the table. glory are no longer the top and are winless in 8
Crowd: 9178 (ehh, should be a bit better but the nix are the worst draw in the comp anyway)
Melbourne City 4-0 Newcastle Jets
Jets get crushed. tinkler is a fat piece of shit, stubbins by name, stubborn by nature. the usual. not going to do us any favors though.
Crowd: 5867 (that is worse then heart level, this is a new level of plastic)

Sydney FC 5-4 Brisbane Roar
defending not even fucking once
credit for us for trying but shithouse performance, can officially say this but sarota has been a waste of a loan, which is a shame cause there was so much hope for him coming into the season. Jamie Young may be the most irratic keeper in the league's history, he can make a save of a season, then go stuff it up by letting a dribbler go through, and this is one of his better games surprisingly, oh yeah #thissjenout. knowing our shitty board, he'll get a 4 year contract for lols.
Get that manager from the primeria division please. also a left back would be nice (we have to have the worst lb rotation in the league by far)
we are back outside the top 6 again. sydney move up, though i think arnie's going to have a fit for the defending. Jurman showing he is a shit defender again. Janko showing his class, a hatrick against us, he really knows how to punish us
Crowd: 13 818 (it was pouring down rain in sydney, but it really looked a lot worse on TV, guessing they all went to find some shelter)

The broncos get a 27 million upgrade to red hill, from council nevertheless
yet we can't even get a fucking upgrade to Perry Park so we can play on a half decent surface, not that the club cares since they barely pay attention to their fans anyway. just would
27 million would probably get a good upgrade so the roar can finally have a ground to call their own instead of being wrecked by poor surfaces, astronomical rent + food prices + just being treated terribly by the stadium and taken advantage of
enough is enough, between council and barkries something could be done (half and half it, its not like the barkries are short of change)
hell i bet you crowds would go up due to the fact that perry park is 2-3 minutes away to 6 train lines from all directions (bowen hills station), that means people form all over the city (north, south, east and west) will be able to get to the station very easily (not that suncorp isn't accessible but this is the height of convenience

Brisbane Roar 3-3 Suwon Blue Wings
The Youth where strong, Clut with a double (move him into the a-league squad, he's brilliant) Borello is coming good with his shooting also. maybe start him up front. we need less petratos (who we in hindsight, should have tried shopping him around holland and seeing if we got a good enough offer around 500k, and sold him) and more borello in the a-league would be best
can't say i'm not dissapointed, going from 2-0 up to 3-2 down is not a good thing, defense needs to improve, and again, left back options just make me want to cry, they're both bad.
It does put us in a decent position though, i think we can at least qualify for the knockout stages, we do need a win away or a win home against urawa, who have not picked up a single point yet. it will be most likely between us and suwon for that 2nd place. we just need to play well enough and not concede nearly as much from here on in

Sydney FC 0-1 Melbourne City
Shiiiieeeeeeeeet. i saw the first half, pretty even, not much going on, missed the second so a bit surprised, it looked destined for a nil-all draw
helps city's chances of the 6 (and effectively means the roar really need to win against the top of the table nix, which ain't happening most likely)
Sydney lose out, despite having the majority of possession (57% to 43%), more shots (12 to 8) and more shots on goal (4 to 2), it really is about making the best of them
Crowd: 11 638 (Shit crowd is shit, newcastle if they weren't so damn bad would be outdrawing them right now, hell, a crappy roar and wsw, as well as perth, adelaide probably will, and the victory will probably at least double that crowd, and this is with the team doing well)
meanwhile in the Malaysian Super League, i see Felda are on top early, also Machuke, a former perth glory prospect is doing well over there, i think some of the guys from the a-league, instead of going to the state leagues, maybe malaysia should be an option. cause this lad has scored 3 from 6 so far, that isn't a bad ratio at all, the super league helped revive the career of petratos (though thats gone to shit since mulvey left) only 5 games played so far though so can't put too much stock on the table i guess. Also interesting to see the amount of african imports used in malaysia as apposed to most other places in asia, the japanese tend to love (and i mean love) all things brazilian (for better or worse) korea and aus usually a mix of east european, european and south american and even thailand tends to go towards spanish and brazilians as a rule. malaysia seems to buck this trend completely, i wonder, because some of them are rubbish (like you would think some of these guys have been scouted via a facebook message) but most tend to be really really good (and i mean by most asian leagues standards)

yea. most of our imports are Africans. I think it's their size.
too early to tell whether Felda can sustain their form or not. Malaysia cup winners Pahang and defending champion JDT are struggling. I am still not impressed with all the aussie imports we have at the moment. we have so many great Aussies in the 90s. Where are they now? sigh...

well considering the fact they're recruiting guys like Cornthwaite, it ain't surprising. guys like mallia, chianese and some of the younger players with some pace may be better, maybe seeing who falls through the cracks in the academies here (like that young striker that plays for Felda). also a lot of the aussie guys are also overseas, those who aren't there, in the a-league or in the rest of asia may be playing in the state leagues again or even india (the indians really like our guys, a guy like Ozbey is earning 600k a year and he came from the nsw state league) so theres that also

Western Sydney Wanderers 1-2 Newcastle Jets huh? oh yeah refereeing was shit, linesman doesn't understand the offside rule, like he was that far onside, look at montano thats how bad the fucking call was Crowd: 10 109 Adelaide United 2-2 Melbourne Victory quality game, both sides looked the goods with the reds coming back into some sort of form Crowd: 16 077
