Can Wazza win his first FA Cup winners medal ? Wilfried Zaha out for revenge Will victory here bring a 1990 / Fergie defining moment for LVG ? History repeating itself ? In 1990, Crystal Palace were again the opponents and came agonizingly close to causing an upset when taking a 3-2 lead in extra time, only for United to equalize seven minutes from the end. In those days, it meant a replay was required, which United won 1-0 in a far more sedate affair.
The links between that final and this one are forged even deeper by the fact that current Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew was a key part of Palace’s midfield in both the final and the replay in 1990. Pardew was happy to talk up that history ahead of Palace’s semifinal against Watford, particularly the fact that he had scored the winner in the club’s 1990 semifinal against Liverpool. He even went as far to utilize the same corner-kick routine Palace prospered from back then, which led to Yannick Bolasie opening the scoring against Watford before Connor Wickham went onto grab a second-half winner.
Pardew’s task now is to ensure Crystal Palace succeed where he fell just short as a player 26 years ago and in turn deliver what could be the final blow to his counterpart at Old Trafford.
Will Fellaini play ? After his winning goal against West Ham in the replay and his semi-final opener against Everton - surely he deserves his name on the match sheet Not long to wait now ...........

It's been a poor season but this is something to look forward to, it's been over a decade since we've won the cup so it is long overdue. De Gea Valencia Smalling Blind CBJ Carrick Rooney Fellaini Mata Rashford Martial LVG has underachieved here, it's not worked out in the way we'd have hoped but if he's bowing out then it'd be nice to do it on a high. Bring the cup home!

Just don't fuck this up. I've spent the best part of 12 hours giving stick to Liverpool fans, don't wanna have to take some shit from them.
Hope we don't underestimate them. They're going to be right up for this and will fancy their chances. If we're off our game at all we'll lose. I'd go with Dave's team, as much as I'm not Fellaini or Rooney's biggest fan they've been a big part of getting us to this stage in the competition and both deserve a place in the final.

This ^^ Would also go with Dave's team but my heart prefers Lingard to Mata Fellaini definitely deserves his selection plus useful for defending on set pieces ............ not our strong point United ....... Man United We're the boys in Red and we're on our way to Wemberly Hopefully this piece of silverware will be the first of many more to make it's way to Old Trafford and end the post Fergie drought

Van Gaal's team news update for Cup final
Louis van Gaal has confirmed Manchester United defenders Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo are available for selection, adding to his selection headache ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final. Darmian has not featured since limping out of the 1-0 win over Norwich City on 7 May, while Rojo missed the midweek victory over Bournemouth after picking up an injury in training on Saturday.
Morgan Schneiderlin also sat out that final Barclays Premier League match due to illness but the French midfielder was a notable presence during Thursday morning’s final training session. He faces competition from Marouane Fellaini, who hopes to start after serving his three-match suspension.
Van Gaal spoke earlier this week about the difficulty of excluding players from the 18-man squad to face Crystal Palace and, during his pre-match press conference at the Aon Training Complex, the manager admitted that his four returning players have all made that problem even harder.

That would be a dream game plan with such extreme contrast. Sums up van Gaal alright without even a hint of a guarantee of success. He'd put the traffic to sleep. Unlikely he would allow for such flair and color on the latter. I might be wrong but I doubt it.

That team bus is real unveiled yesterday .................... Maybe Lingard will play metro.co.uk/2016/05/19/manchester-united-unveil-unique-fa-cup-final-team-bus-ahead-of-wembley-showpiece-vs-crystal-palace-5893098/Manchester United will stay next door to Wembley on Friday to avoid any more London traffic chaos before the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace. Louis van Gaal and his players will travel down by train on Friday afternoon and check into the Wembley Hilton, just yards from the venue for Saturday's showpiece game. The decision follows the problems United have encountered twice in the space of a month which forced the kick-off for their recent away games at Tottenham and West Ham to be delayed.

Slowly getting there with the excitement of the occasion, it's so long since we last tasted FA Cup final day I've forgotten what it's like. The league position really pisses on tomorrow but it's still a big day to be enjoyed.

need to ignore all the negativity regarding league pos and Louis being there but I waited for this Cup Final occasion far to long to let it be ruined by anything. All that matters tomorrow is the Cup. Bring the cup home!
