Been a great day. Just a bit disappointed the win has been overshadowed a little by the Mourinho news. Even though I'm in favour it would've been nice to let the team and manager enjoy their victory for a day or 2.

   I honestly just want to spam this thread with pictures, because it's been far too long without a reason for celebration and by the looks of it, it might be some time before we get another chance. But anyway... Missed the first 60 minutes, but from what I gather I didn't miss that much. The performance itself was far from what you expect for a cup final, but at the end we won and deservedly so. One of the few times this season where Rooney shows why he's the captain - took the lead and pushed the entire team for the last 40 or so minutes. Also I'm very glad to end this disappointing season on a high note, because despite our overall poor team performances we have players that have been consistently good throughout the season and deserved to get something out of it. Agree with Jamie, the Mourinho talk was really disrespectful, but I wouldn't expect anything else from media. But if Van Gaal goes, then at least he will go out with a trophy. |
