Cautious again, Carrick's got the extra brain, him and Blind should be able to shackle their forward play.
Rojo, well... let's hope he's not still 'jet-lagged'

Well done Spurs. We played like shit and definitely deserved to have our ass kicked. Enough is enough. LVG must go. Even his previous 1-0 win had a huge element of luck in them.

Bullshit display lacking character from everyone including the manager and coaching staff. We were well in the game but never looked like scoring in a million years. 1 goal and everyone falls to pieces, fucking embarrassing.
What the fuck was he doing bringing Young on to play up front? Like seriously, he's made some shocking substitutions in his time here but that is about as weird as it gets.
There's only 2 players in that side who I think are and were shit regardless of who's in charge and that's Carrick and Rojo. Everyone else is already or potentially quality in the right side for the right manager.
I've defended LVG a lot and even when I decided he shouldn't still be manager I made excuses for him but I fully believe he's to blame for the shite this side has produced all season. Even if you think the side just isn't good enough, that issue lies at the manager's door as it's his squad.

Went toe to toe for 70 minutes, fought for everything then capitulated and downed tools.
Smalling and Blind making their first mistake in the game really, lost the ball in middle. Brilliant from Kane and they score, then we fell apart. Darmian giving away a stupid free kick. Fosu Mensah was a huge loss.
Created nothing in the game though but with Mata no threat from the right, Rojo is wank and we lack a presence up front. Story of our season in some ways.
Blow for top 4 but City aren't pulling up trees either, still all to play for.

Three goals conceded in six minutes, very disappointed. Three good goals though.

ashley young up front. really man, did he go to Amsterdam mid week to buy his supply
Hardly anyone looked good, Rojo was especially crap and not sure if its him just coming back in but honestly since his return he's been nowhere near good enough, either ease him back in, though if a club comes in for him i wouldn't be against it.
Also who thought starting Carrick was a good idea, i'm sorry but he's shite nowadays, in fact after seeing that i'm almost convinced he won't be able to do it as a backup next season
Tactics where beyond strange in a match where no one looked good perse. Fosu-Mensah was at least promising.
This comes down to the manager, he needs to go. Either bring in Poch or bring in Simeone. Jose would be a good choice though for a year or two in terms of liberation but after that i am not so sure

Van Gaal: "I want more running in behind because in the first half we didn't have an attacking point," he said.
And you bring in Young who hasn't played in 10 years? No offence to Young here, I'd understand if he was subbed for LB/RB/wide player, but he isn't exactly the player to take on the striker's position. I agree that Rashford was isolated up front, but I thought our midfield not reaching him was the problem, not a 18 year old who you put to run against the best defense in the league. Rojo was absolutely abysmal, this is not jet-lagged, that's you being shit. I truly believe that if you wanted to take off Rashford, the best choice would have been Fellaini, that's how ridiculous this substitution was, but at least Fellaini would have some aerial advantage.
Mata and Lingard tried rotating because it was so obvious that they can't handle Rose's speed. Carrick and Schneiderlin were doing fine in the first minutes, after half time it was clear that Tottenham were too much for them. Fosu-Mensah did great, he was the only player that did his job in yesterday's game and this just highlights how poor we are. He goes off and we fall apart - can't be a coincidence.
Overall, I don't know why I'm surprised - it's been the story all season - we make one step forward, and two back. And because I'd like to finish on a positive note - we only have 6 more games til this season is over.

The whole squad has been an embarrassment besides the kids this season. I wouldn't be sad to see half the experienced players leave to be honest.

That's it then, season is over. FA Cup left to play for. Thought we played better at the beginning. Finally we did some pressing which we were lacking all season. In the end the side showed no mentality which is characteristic for LVG's side. Only positive is Fosu-Mensah but any defender seems to get injured at United.

I was actually thinking we might as well rest the entire squad and just leave the kids to play - at least they show character. We made Tottenham look like Barca, this side is just not capable of consistency - even if we kept playing like we did in the first 20 minutes, we still looked nowhere near as dangerous as Tottenham. But yeah, the lack of character is what is driving me crazy.
On a side note, I still think Van Gaal will stay next year too. And then Giggs, which judging by his passiveness yesterday, might even turn out to be worse. Hope I'm wrong, but I can absolutely imagine us sticking with him for another year just because Mourinho doesn't quite fit the profile of a United manager
