He made his debut for United on 27 September 2014 against West Ham United in a 2–1 victory in the Premier League at Old Trafford, Very impressive in both the games he played against West Ham and Everton before getting injured. Made a promising start to his Career.

Any news on his injury? Did he pull his hammy or was he taken off as a precaution?

He cramped up with around 15/20 minutes to go. Played pretty much on one leg until he came off. Doubt there's any lasting damage, just couldn't quite manage a full 90.

McNair learns from Rooney, RvP and Falcao
Manchester United prospect Paddy McNair has told United Review there is no better education than training against "world-class" team-mates Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao.
The Northern Irish teenager began the season with plans to establish himself in Warren Joyce's Under-21s but has since made six appearances for Louis van Gaal's first team, following a raft of injuries to fellow centre-backs Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling.
McNair's subsequent promotion to the senior group has pitted him against some of the world's most revered attacking players. In an exclusive interview with Tuesday's edition of United Review, the matchday programme at Old Trafford, the 19-year-old describes the challenge of competing against Rooney, van Persie and Falcao at the Aon Training Complex.
He jokes: "It's hard – not great for confidence! But it's obviously really good for me. It's only going to make me a better defender to be playing against world-class strikers every day.
"I'm just looking forward to the season continuing and trying to get better each day. Their goalscoring records speak for themselves, so if I can stop them in training then I must be doing something right."
As well as United's trio of big-name strikers, McNair also trains against his fellow Academy graduate James Wilson and feels the forward, who recently turned 19, is destined for big things at Old Trafford.
"Oh, he's brilliant," says Paddy. "I think he's got everything. There's nothing he can't do. It's just a matter of time before he gets his first hat-trick at Old Trafford! He works really hard and it's a real challenge to face him in training."

Very glad for the kid, I know we all drool over Wilson, but the truth is Paddy has looked more comfortable in the first team than Wilson (or at least I think so).

Give him a whirl, shirl! Looked good in that U21's match and MOTM in the Cambridge game.

I don't have many doubts that both McNair and Blackett have what it takes to become top defenders which is one of the reasons I hated the 3-5-2 system so much. Playing in a flat back 4 they both looked assured and composed but playing in a 3 both of them looked anything but comfortable. In fact I'd go as far to say they both looked terrible. Bit early to say whether or not McNair could cement the RB spot but I wouldn't have any problem seeing more of him on the pitch.

Paddy McNair signs new Manchester United contract
Paddy McNair has expressed his joy after Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal confirmed the young defender has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until at least June 2017.
McNair told MUTV: "I'm very happy. It's a boyhood dream [to be in the first team]. I never would have expected this 12 months ago but it just shows how fast football can change.
"It’s great to be playing in the first team most weeks, playing at Old Trafford and going to different stadiums, playing against some of the best teams in the world."
When asked how it feels to know van Gaal has faith in him, McNair replied: "It’s good. He’s a very good manager."
McNair, a product of the club's youth system, made his senior United debut in the home win over West Ham on 27 September 2014. He has so far made 12 appearances, mainly at centre-back, but he was last week tipped to be the Reds' right-back for the next ten years by van Gaal.
Van Gaal told MUTV today (Tuesday): "It's always good that a young player from your youth education is coming through. I think it's very good for him but also for Manchester United and also for the future of Manchester United. He can play in a lot of positions so that's also nice as I like multi-functional players."

I never wanted Manchester United to be second to anybody. Only the best would be good enough

he is calm and assured on the ball but what is also important is he is tall, well compared to Rafael or Shaw. It can be a liability having too many small defenders. Zabaleta and Ivanovic are big strapping defenders and it is something we have been missing at full position for a while
