I've thought in the past when you watch him he has a good level of football ability, not just your average get your body in the way central defender.

This is something I've thought of a lot when he has played for the first team. I kinda feel like because of his football ability and being confident with the ball as well as possessing a bit of steel, this could be a solid option if ever we need to rotate or just add some protection in the midfield in future. He'd definitely be more effectual than Jones ever was there imo |

I guess he wouldn't be the worst option there and considering we have an aging Carrick, a current Schneiderlin it would be nice to have a 3rd and possibly future option, but I haven't seen him play there so I can't tell

didn't he play as CM at U21 level? I think he is capable of playing there. If at the required level is another question but worth trying. At least better than Foulaini I'd say!
