Best draw we could have got, well home would be better but it's pretty good to be fair.
Thoughts?

The rest of the draw suits us as well, all the bigger teams playing each other. We should be comfortable against Shrewsbury to be fair.

There's no such thing as a comfortable game or win for united this season.

No doubt it'll be hard work, they'll be well up for it and we're shit. Settle for any old shitty win tbh.

I don't care how difficult this game may be or how difficult they may make it. We should win and win convincingly. Be interesting to see how he approaches the game tbh. Will he rest a few to keep them fresh for Thursday night? Surely he can afford to, it's not like the strong side he put out on Thursday performed with any credit anyway. How much of a risk is it to play a few kids, really? We're shit no matter who's in the side.
Definitely think he should be giving Keane and Pereira a start, with Martial getting a night off.

Shroos or Shrose Have to go strong again but a few changes from the other day for me. Romero, Love, Smalling, Blind, Riley, Carrick, Schneiderlin, Lingard, Pereira, Memphis, Martial. BJ in if he's back, be interesting to see who plays for the u21's today.

Ray Wilkins on tonights match ........
"I think it's massive, to be perfectly honest, after their performance against Midtjylland in the week - that was just inept," said Wilkins.
"I understand people giving Louis van Gaal a bit of grief but that's not down to him, that's the players. The players have to go and perform.
"The only pieces of advice I used to give managers I worked with at Chelsea was, 'When you go north or when you go to a lower league club, play as many British-based players as you have'. "That's the advice that I'd give if I was at Manchester United, they'd be up for the fight. When you go north or west on a cold blustery night you want people there who want to fight for the club."

Don't necessarily think they have to be British, just have a good attitude and be willing to fight for everything. Unfortunately we don't appear to have many first team players who fit this criteria at the minute. I don't give a shit of the risk, I want to see some young players being given the chance. People saying we have to play a strong team and take it seriously. I ask what is a strong team for us right now? The likes of Mata, Herrera, Memphis all represent us playing a strong team and for me they've all been disappointing. I'd be going with: Romero Love Smalling Blind Riley Schneiderlin Pereira Lingard Weir Keane Martial I said the other day that Martial should get a night off but I've changed my mind. If he's on his game we could have this game wrapped up by half time which means we can bring him off early. He's the only attacker we have that provides that ultimate trickery, pace and power. Memphis could do but he doesn't, or at least he hasn't this season.
Keane has been scoring for fun in the u21's, so should get a start. Weir has been a mainstay for them the last few seasons and rarely puts in a bad display. Pereira has to get a fucking start and I know people will question Lingard central but it's actually his number 1 and most effective position.
I know it's unlikely so many youngsters will get a start and he'll probably go with 2 holding midfielders and the same old shit that has let us down all season but I'd love to see a lineup like this with so much youth and enthusiasm in it and I actually don't think it represents as much of a risk as people think...... We're shit anyway!

Actually. Unless there's a start for a couple of youngsters I'm not even going to bother looking for a stream and watching it. I'll just watch the highlights on BBC One later.
