Always a tricky fixture, yada yada yada...
Must win for us and they've been inconsistent this season.
As I said last time round, we should go back to the 433 of last season and even though Stoke play better football they are still good from set pieces, something we've struggled with in the last few games so I'd be going with height at the back. Schneiderlin is a must as well given how we keep getting done on the counter.
De Gea, McNair, Jones, Smalling, Blind, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Fellaini, Rooney, Martial, Memphis.

Wouldn't be against that team. Would probably stick Varela in at right back instead of Mcnair though. But it's neither here nor there.
We need a good solid performance not only for our season but for the short term future of the club. I think along with the Chelsea game the manager needs to be looking for a minimum of 4 points from these 2 games to save his job. So whether that be a draw away to Stoke and a win at home to Chelsea or vise versa it doesn't matter to me. I think if he's going to be in charge for the Stoke game he'll be in charge for the Chelsea game as well. Makes no sense to sack a manager after a game when the next 1 is 2 days later.

I think he's got a point to be fair, the performances haven't been great but apart from the past few weeks he's had the results. This is his first real poor run and straight off the knives are out, which you'd expect but for the media to say that he's already been sacked or soon will be etc. is pretty unsavoury.

I think he has a point about the media, no doubt. It is the way it goes though, every manager gets the same treatment. What will irritate me is the way the media will blow it up, I've already seen them describe it as an angry rant. He was quite composed for me.
They'll also act like it's no way for a Manchester United manager to act, like Fergie never had his issues and confrontations with the media.

I'm really rooting for him, as I always have been. It would be hilarious if he turned this around and got us back into the title picture. Despite me openly talking about someone replacing him and who it might be, I'm still sure the best option is for him to stay until the end of the season.
It's just what has seemingly looked like the lack of cohesion between himself and the players in the last few games that's been doing me and making me question whether he should stay.
Hopefully the work he's done this week has an impact on the players and we produce the goods over the next 2 games and get back on track. Because if we don't, I feel these rumours that have rattled him so much the last week will turn into reality.
