Because Martial's not scored goals the last few games he's not getting the recognition anymore. Still think he's been playing great though.

Martial has been our best forward with Mata.

Sad today it but Martial is undropable (is that a word?) Even if he isn't scoring goals he scares the living daylights out of the opposition because he so unpredictable. If and when he's benched in sure we'll see a difference in our play. Poor fella may be young but he can't play every game which was why it was good to see Lingard get some game time. Shake up the forward line a little.

He's a beast and we can't risk not having him in the side over these next 2 games, as is their importance.. He plays exactly how I thought Memphis would and how he will eventually. In an ideal world, Memphis finds his top form and the pair of them can share the burden of being our most important attacker.
Lingard was great in his appearance at Everton and judging by the manager's comments that were posted in the Lingard thread, he could be getting even more playing time.

Lingard gets a start. He'll offer more defensively than Mata who we can keep fresh for City. Really chuffed to see him start though and there's plenty of other options out there. Shows the manager will play youth players if he thinks they're good enough.
Looking forward to this.

I'll take that.
Tough match away in the cold.
Martial redeemed himself, Jesse was bright especially in the first half.
Just need to win our home games and we should be good.

Disappointed with the lack of intensity for the first 50 mins but it's a great result away in Moscow. I thought we controlled the game but barely threatened in the first half. In the 2nd it was much better as they began to tire and Martial scored a well worked goal with a brilliantly accurate header.
I have to say the unlikely hero for me tonight was Fellaini. When he came on and we went 4-3-3 we looked much more likely going forward. He also provided steal and aggression to our midfield and did everything in a neat and tidy fashion. I thought he did a great job, I really did.
Other positives... Well, I thought the defence was solid for the most part against a pacy and dangerous Moscow attack. Scored from a rebounded penalty and quite fortunately as well. Lingard had a good, solid game. What I like about him is whenever he moves the ball he generally looks to go forward, was finding some great positions behind their midfield and for me did himself no harm for the future. Martial showed he's a match winner with that goal. Didn't have a great game, didn't look likely to score but came up with the goods with a great header.
Other negatives... Rooney's a shit cunt and Herrera was very poor and careless with his passing in the first half.

Think it's a straight shootout between ourselves and Wolfsburg for the top spot. Our return away game with them is the final game in the group.
Don't think it's being overly optimistic in expecting 6 out of 6 from CSKA and PSV (both at home) on the evidence of seeing us play them once away already.

consistency, consistency, consistency... we have to keep plugging away and it will come, all the signs are there. not even out of October yet, so not too bothered.
Great result in the sub zero, come home tonight and prepare for Sunday.
