Memphis, you’re officially a Manchester United player now. How does it feel? It’s really a dream come true. I’m very happy and very excited to play with the team and I’m enjoying it in Manchester.
You’ve just had a wonderful season with PSV, so do you now feel ready for the Premier League? Yes, I really feel ready. I’m still young but I’m taking steps and I’m looking forward to playing in the Premier League for the best club in the world.
We’ve seen some of your great performances this season but how would you describe your strengths? I’ve made steps in the sense that I’ve scored a lot of goals this season and, for me, that’s really important. So I’m really happy with that and the international games since the World Cup have also gone well. I’ve made progress and I want to improve to a higher level now.
You’ve played for Louis van Gaal in the World Cup. How important was he in this move to United? Very important. He gave me the opportunity to play at the World Cup, he showed a lot of confidence in me and I think he’s the best trainer in the world. He makes me better on the training ground and that’s very important for me. So I’m very much looking forward to working with him here.
We have a Dutch manager and some Dutch coaching staff, Daley Blind and Robin van Persie – how much of a help will that be in terms of settling in at your new club? I think it’ll be a little bit easier. I can ask the guys what happens around the club but also my own feelings will give me a sense. I need to see everything, I need to improve, I need to see the stadium. I think it will have a big impact on me because I’m young and this is a very big club with many great supporters. I’m very happy.
Have you thought about walking out at Old Trafford in a United shirt? I’ve dreamed about it, so let’s make it happen. I cannot wait to play at Old Trafford.
This club has a very famous history of wingers, like Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo. How much do you want to follow in their footsteps? I’m going to let my feet speak. I hope I can develop here in the Premier League and I hope I can be like those great legends one time in my career. I’m going to work hard, so let’s see. I believe I can be a great player for Manchester United.
You’re only young. Do you feel you still have some developing and improving to do, and that you want to do that here? Of course. I’m young and can make more steps. I know it’s a tough league: everything goes faster and the league is very strong. But I will learn and get stronger, faster and better here on the training ground. So I believe I can develop and bring more out of myself.
You’ll no doubt have seen plenty of Premier League games. How excited are you to make an impact in this league and is it something you’ve always wanted to do? I think it’s a great feeling to score in the Premier League – the fans go crazy. It’s all different to the Dutch league and I can imagine how big it is, but I have to be on the pitch to really feel the atmosphere from the supporters and the impact of the club.
The manager has said he wants to win trophies with this club. What are your ambitions here? Well, I also want to win trophies with the team. We’re the biggest club in the world, so we have to play for those trophies.
Your season has not long finished, but how much are you looking forward to getting started in a Manchester United shirt? I had a great season but it was on a different level and I know that. I’m very excited to be a part of Manchester United but we have to win trophies. I’m sure that we can do this.

You want me to merge the two? I thought about moving the other one but completely forgot
I'm really excited to see him in action, I'm trying not to get my expectations too high but it's really difficult

Official unveiling today (maybe 3 BST), I'm curious what he'll say and hoping for a little bit of arrogance. But most of all, I've missed listening to Van Gaal talk.

Lou Macari shocked by Memphis Depay
MUTV pundit Lou Macari has admitted he was taken aback after seeing new Manchester United signing Memphis Depay at close quarters for the first time on Tour 2015 promoted by Aon.
The recent recruit from PSV Eindhoven is expected to make his debut against Club America in the International Champions Cup clash over the weekend and is known to be a fitness fanatic in the gym. The 21-year-old is a striking figure in the flesh and looks capable of handling the rigours of the Premier League next term.
"Memphis really has shocked me," admitted Macari to MUTV. "He is built like a tank. I can't believe what I'm seeing. I thought he was a frail, little guy but he's massive and strong with huge legs!
"The new signings will have a massive impact as there is real competition for places," he continued. "I said watching certain games in the last two or three seasons that the bench was a bit weak but we're going to have the strongest bench of any team in the Barclays Premier League this season, especially with the midfield players."
I thought the same when I saw a few pictures of him, he's an absolute specimen. I have a feeling he's going to hit the ground running and instantly provide good performances. I'm not going to get frustrated with him if he doesn't of course as he'll be allowed plenty of time but I genuinely think he may not need a whole lot of it.

Doesn't look like he'll be starting on Wednesday then.
